@adi87tya aaand you're quoting William Wordsworth ;)
It's like ignoring history, why go through the trouble of making mistakes when people have made them, learned from them, and written their revelations down? A book is someone's voice, preserved.

I've noticed that Western literature is too personal, doesn't have good moral teachings, and has ambiguous messages. The main them that drives western literature is Expression, even if that kind of expression doesn't have a meaning or make any sense. I think you could say that Western literature doesn't do much to advance human knowledge about humanity or good moral behavior. Also western literature is too much image-driven. Sometimes it seems like an author circling around none-sense.
Often times they will challenge such preconceived notions such as "good moral behavior" or "good moral teachings." Popular books that preach "good moral behavior" tend to look upon such a challenge as blasphemous because it threatens the their very foundations.
That was great. I would totally let John Oliver dine on my carcass should the end of times come and we happen to be in the same place at the same time and I died first. Totally.
This looks like someone just whipped out a handy cam in a library and forced him to do a skit XD But i lOVE him!

why do you look to literature to give you moral lessons? morality is something you learn from life experience, not from a book....
adi87tya 2 years ago
well, this certainly isn't an overly simplified generalization! thanks for your insight!

Well done sirs.
There's nothing funnier than the end of the world, except maybe the years of misery and deprivation preceding it.
