  • Scriabin is, like a number other composers of his genertion, neglected by most music lovers these days. He get quite a few of his orchestral works performed, it's true, but until today I didn't know he had preludes on line! Thanks for posting these preludes. Vedernikov is a fine, subtle performer, with enegetic side, as well. I love this stuff.

  • Thumbs up if you think that Gary Oldman is a great composer.

  • Up there with Gavrilov's fabulous recording from the 80's, as well as the classic accounts by Sofronitzky, Feinberg and Richter. Thanks!

  • I can't hear the last note on no 4, but it's probably just me.....this video is fantastic!

  • @stargirl2007a I can hear it pretty distinctively; to my taste, it's even _too_ loud :-D

  • @RedGlow82 I must be deaf then. Oops! =P

  • I love Scriabin and these preludes - I fell in love with them when I was still dancing - many years ago.

    Thanks for posting them -

  • This is my first exposure to this wonderful pianist, I don't know how I have not heard of him before now. TC you've done it again. Bravo!

  • Oh. My. God. I never knew Vedernikov had recorded the Scriabin preludes as well. Thank you so much!

  • Thanks for posting the Vedernikov!

His Debussy Études are superb too.

  • Yes, Awesome -- that's the word I was looking for. Also, the actual recording is itself technically superior!

  • Great suprise and joy! Was there anything this amazing master couldn´t do?...

  • Very talented people, Scriabin and the pianist.
