Love this interview.These press junkets,they do about 60 in a row each one only a few minutes long. The actors can be sitting there for hours on end.The guy was hungry! I would rather see this than him being all fake and pompous. Heath was a good person and so the media had to make up stuff to dis him. This was the worst thing they could come up with I guess.In a later interview Heath actually apologized for eating the orange! Miss U Heath. Thanks for sharing this video.

Someone said once about Heath that sometimes people mistake him for being arrogant but really he's just nervous. I can clearly see that. Just go with the flow! It's idiots like that interviewer that make life tough for people like Heath. If you just take the time to LISTEN to people and not automatically get on a defensive side, you'd notice he might start to become more comfortable. People need to chill out and not take things so formal all the time!

Well she obviously looked like she was offended or something..always looking down at the orange he was peeling. Just that smartass look on her face as if he should stop everything and focus 100% of his attention on her. I know that interview caused some stupid controversy as well. Everyone was saying how arrogant he was or something. Not everything has to be so formal.

It's informal not to give all your professional concentration to a media experience (they're pretty essential for your reputation as an artist).

Peeling an orange occupied his hands, but appeared as PLAIN RUDE to me.

And 4 all you ppl who can't seem 2 stop talking about the orange,he had done lots of interviews that day,and didn't have a chance to eat in between,so he just grabbed an orange and started peeling it,BUT he didn't eat.I mean he was hungry and didn't eat the damn thing,im sure it was out of respect to the reporter.Anyway,i don't see why they had 2 be so sensitive about the whole orange peeling thing,it was absurd,he was answering 2 the questions and didn't offend her in any way

@mjthekingofmusic52 Actually in a later interview Heath said that his family received phone calls about this interview from total strangers. They called Heath terrible names etc. Heath apologized to put an end to it, his sisters were upset.I think most of the complainers were in Australia. The media can be so weird sometimes. I do agree with you though, there are assholes at youtube , you are right!

I can not believe the nasty comments he received due to peeling the orange durning the interview. Good grief, he was still answering her questions and engaged. I agree with some of you, he used the orange as a distraction. He seemed less figity and uncomfortable in that interview then he had in some past interviews. His method worked!

Besides people, it's a f'n orange! I think people were way to hard on Heath. He was a amazing person and is missed dearly.

I get the same way in certain social situations, and I'm not doing it to be rude. People react differently when they're uncomfortable.
