I was in the Taj samudra hotel next to the air base in colombo on the night of the attack. It was the scariest 2 hours of my life while we were stranded in the hotel lobby in the pitch black, machine gun fire and explosion all around us. The sounds of this video are a horrible reminder of the moment that we realised what was going on.

I am amazed at our people! To some it has still not sunk in that the LTTE is finished! This is no great loss to us Tamils as LTTE has brought our whole identity to disrepute ! By the way I saw the whole crash into the inland revenue (unfortunately could not film it) and the aircraft was taking multiple hits for about 10 seconds before that. He was dead long before he crashed. Again what sort of mission was it to destroy a few tax-files??? LMAO
