check google. there are numerous reports showing they knew there were problems as early as march 10th, and we're hoping to abandon the well.
I suspect they discovered the well was too damaged to seal, so they blew it up. If they seal it at this point, the entire well may collapse

They notified the government in early march that they hoped to abandon the well for numerous performance issues.

That is all speculation, but what we DO know is that BP told the MMS as early as MArch 10 that they had problems with the well, which accounts for the put-options on stocks before 4/19, etc.

I think that whoever the President is, the general direction of our country wont shift radically in just a few years, or even one administration. Then a 'global inspection team/force' would be needed to hold countries to the 'Carbon Climate Treaties'. A certain precentage of the C&T carbon tax money would go into an account for the U.N. at the 'World Bank' and 'IMF'.

This was done on purpose , Tony Hayward cashed in about a third of his holding in the company one month before a well on the Deepwater Horizon rig burst, causing an environmental disaster.
Mr Hayward, whose pay package is £4 million a year, then paid off the mortgage on his family’s mansion in Kent, which is estimated to be valued at more than £1.2 million.

@hotmichael3358 I don't think that proves it was done on purpose. But it DOES imply they knew it was happening before they told anyone about it, or blew up the rig.
check google. there are numerous reports showing they knew there were problems as early as march 10th, and we're hoping to abandon the well.
I suspect they discovered the well was too damaged to seal, so they blew it up. If they seal it at this point, the entire well may collapse

@resteep I only got 1 fact from Beck, and that was that Obama helped set up the CCX chicago climate exchange while he was working for the Joyce Foundation. Beck did not lie about that. I did a lill' research of my own on that fact, IT IS TRUE.

By the same logic, you could claim Dick Cheney did this because Halliburton was the one pouring the concrete the day the well exploded, and Halliburton had just recently purchased Boots and Coots, a well-fire company.
Of course, this is equally nonsensical, as are many other theories that are pieced together by idiots with narrow focus.

@JDurden33 Yes, i no longer think that is the case. I now think that BP had pre-existing problems with the well, but were unable to close it off and walk away.So they blew it up, hoping that might seal it, and it backfired. They notified the government in early march that they hoped to abandon the well for numerous performance issues.

@JDurden33 Not exactly. I think they knew the well had problems WAAY before april 19th, and potentially used the 'explosion' as a way to pretend it was out of their control. Or, perhaps the explosion was actually due to their negligence.
That is all speculation, but what we DO know is that BP told the MMS as early as MArch 10 that they had problems with the well, which accounts for the put-options on stocks before 4/19, etc.
This is BIG and they tried to sweep it under the rug.

@DickeyRogers I am not ignorant of these facts. I don't personally come to the same conclusions you come to, but I'm not a big fan of the guy, either. I think that whoever the President is, the general direction of our country wont shift radically in just a few years, or even one administration. But that is because our system is set up since its inception to discourage radical change. Personally, that was my biggest issue with the Cheney/Bush administration-

@DickeyRogers cont.- That they set a precedent of a very strong Executive Branch that dictated terms onto Congress and the Public. Thus far, I have appreciated that Obama doesn't seem tot take that path. He prefers to make congress hash it out, as per the Constitution. This leads to a very centrist path that may not appeal to the purist in me, but appeals to the pragmatic side quite a bit.
Anyway, real change is through local elections, not National. That's all for show for the most part.

@resteep You like the centrist path, but to me centrist is the same as democrat or republican. Because both parties are growing the government and shrinking/distorting the economy. That is why we need Ron Paul 2012. We financially (never mind the morality of it) can't afford to go down this path we are on.

@DickeyRogers It`s not that i like the centrist path. Its just that i think it is the only real option. And i respect Obama for being a `centrist` in practice, even if his personal preference might be more radical change. Over all, i think that sets a good precedent for the Office.
I voted for Paul, but i know that if he were elected (which will never happen) he would be confined by the same system.

@DickeyRogers Well, my opinion on it is that 'centrism' is essentially Democracy. While you and I might want to see a specific kind of 'radical' change, the vast majority of Americans do not. That is Democracy. While I may have my own preferences, I don't expect a minority government to implement them. I expect the Government to represent the will of the people, which, in a country as large as the US, necessarily becomes quite homogenized. I'd prefer to work to change people's opinions...

@resteep Hitler was elected in a democracy, and democratically given the powers to become dictator. That is the end results of democracies. Because the public starts voting themselves money, vote themselves for their governments to borrow money, and government grows/grows. And eventually the system collapses. Purely centrist democracy is very bad. Let the states have their own laws, no reason to have the laws across the whole nation. That way I can move to the state with the lowest taxes
