James Turrell is a living legend - cannot imagine your patience and tenacity to get this Rodin Crater Project done --- cannot wait until it opens to the public in 2011. (even though I have poached it, with all respect, thought there would be someone there to ask permission from or someone to kick my ass out, but nobody but me - wow, and wow)
Lucky you! I've been meaning to go there for years. I agree, Turrell is a living legend, and in a world of sensationalistic art, he's doing art that is meaningful and touches the root of what it means to be human, alive and part of the universe.
I hear that Rodin Crater is by invite only now -- open to public in 2012. I have a great article on Rodin from a Flagstaff newspaper last year. Contact me if you want one - $10 - I have three or four of them.
