The Stones have done all kinds of genres of music, country, blues, rock and roll, ballads. yeah they have been influenced by other musicians as are every band around. Gram and Keith were good friends and Keith admits Gram helped him with the country aspects of their songs, but Keith also likes Willie Nelson, so are they ripping off him too? i doubt it, they just play a mixture of songs, Dead Flowers, Sweet Virginia, Faraway Eyes, to name a few, are country songs. theres no ripping off going on.

But to question Keith's musicianship and artistry because of Gram's INFLUENCE is ludicrous. They influenced each other, and Keith took it to more success. Keith will be the first one to tell u that. When Mick sings country it's not only great because he sings better than most country singers, but also because there is a hint of irony (since he's a bit of a dandy British guy singing country) but also because THE ROLLING STONES are way better than any country band that backs any country singer. Plus the lyrical content is way better than any "real" country. Mind you we live in a world where bubble gum pop music is imitating Country music, like Taylor Swift.
