Awful intro song aside, Felix wears anime style pretty well. I guess his simple design translate well anywhere.

BTW I LOVE the sepia picture of Felix at 0:39 He was created in the 20s so it fits REALLY well. Way to really throw back. (Gives me a drawing idea now).

felix has been pretty popular here in japan for some time / now they have 3d version of him on tv / i remember watching reruns of the orig b/w toons as a kid! FELIX is forever popular, it seems. Up there with Mickey, Anpanman & other icons.

@akumacornflakes : Yeah, it was an awful trend! I guess someone had success with it, and all the others followed suit. A common practice with Saturday Morning Cartoons. Look how many Scooby-Doo imitators there were! There was another period where they set all the cartoons in Outer Space!! Proably a reaction to the success of The Jetsons. There was Josie and The Pussy Cats, Gilligan's Island, The Partridge Family, Casper, and a few others, all in outer space or the future. So Bizarre!

When Feliz jump from "Felix The Cat" to "Twisted tales of Felix The Cat", Milton Knight was the animator and so he also did some Sonic.

Besides, Sonics it's ispired by Felix the Cat, just see the name and the animation style, the old 30's concepts of gloves and shoes in Antrho characters
