@kissmarton WRONG! made this joint back in 03, made code red in 2010. i don't recycle drums from that far back. got these drums from different records. it's probably just the reverb that makes them sound similar, but on the real, i need to change these drums. didn't like how i eq'd the snare. claps are different too. just patterned them similarly.

how do you get samples from the vinyl on to the MPC, and do you chop the sample and change the pitch on the MPC or a certain programme. some1 please answer! realy thinkin bout gettin a MPC1000

you need a turntable & a mixer. connect the outputs of the mixer to record inputs of the mpc. as for sampling, everyone has their own technique. i sample chops one at a time, but some sample the whole sample and chop/zone them. you can change the pitch of the sample on the mp to match the bpm. if you're limited with sample time, put the record on 45 rpms so you could sample more.

you can't really hear it good in the video, but the notes faded in volume when you hit the pads, giving it an echo effect. when you use velocity on the mp you can make a sample lower or higher depending on which pad you hit.
