Actually, the goal is to reach the centre of the galaxy, which is protected by some race which is allegedly similar to the borg (based on Will Wright's priniple of basing the creatures' social characteristics off races from Star Trek) From there you can finish the game or keep going with the 'no goal'

This is 10x better than the actual one that has just been released. The character movement is much more fluid and natural.
