RCC had reigned death before for loads of reasons so what people saw as legitimate power under Henry, was just as corrupt. No wonder Europeans now hate religion. Only education which came to the people out of all of this was the only blessing to be gained from this, that people could decide what to think for themselves. Henry could cause the church to be more austere, so that it would free money to flow into his coffers. Corruption does not leave, it just changes who is in charge of it.

Henry VIII did not want a long drawn out repeat of Catherine. Hence based on the overall dislike of Anne, Execution was the solution.

So of course she was inncoent. But she and everyone else at the time grasped why execution was the answer.

Anne Boleyn was neither harlot, or pure martyr.

She like her daughter and the rest of us had all to human flaws.

Keep this middle of the road opinion in mind when thinking of her.

yeah but cronwell wanted to get rid of her, he did all the lying and used Henry disinterest in Anne to get wanted he wanted Henry didn't want anne executed but you right he had to approve it but cronwell manuipaled the sitution

Also, as soon as Henry, and indeed it was Henry himself who announced the investigation into Anne Boleyn (NOT Cromwell), everyone flocked to Cromwell to spill the beans on her licentious, bawdy lifestyle. Ofcourse they were all lies, but Cromwell could hardly have kept all this to himself and keep his head.

I think you'll find that pretty much everyone wanted Anne Boleyn gone, especially Henry, and his new squeeze Jane Seymour.
