  • I love everything about her. Her craziness, brilliance, and all. She's the greatest artist of all time; -)

  • the best voice of all -

  • 1:43 HELL YEAH!

  • I love her outfits!

  • "your not a nice girl if you come home to daddy 16 and pregnant." hilarious

  • Oh my gosh I love this girl.. she's the best

  • Her music is just pure poetry. Her music has somewhat inspired me to write poety.

  • She most be one of the hardest artist to interview. She is smart and I think many find her very very intimidating

  • @klimpensonice i guess thats the trick, not to be intimidated. people that are intimidated don't get to far.

  • yeah, I agree!

  • ze heeft zij groot gelijk :)

  • I love her, she is awesome! Even as a male, "Little Earthquakes" was an album that kept me going through a rough patch in life. she has such an honesty in her music.

Although I support her in her crusade against the unbalanced social conditioning that has caused problems between the sexes, I sometimes think that she can be a little too much about that.

But she's still Tori and she's still the best!

  • Actually we can never have too much about that, since activism around the subject is still taboo. Also, she's added more dimension to her activism by creating a diverse range of songs and a lyrical genius that allows the listener to create hidden meanings that reflect their psyche and circumstances. Gender, queer, indigenious and social equity HAS NOT been attained.

  • I think Tori is one of the greatest artists of the late 20th century.

  • Without question. An ethereal and prolific visionary

  • Agreed. I think she's one of the prophets, actually.

  • @mrblisterfist she is awesomness incarnate!

  • She does go on about the difference in the sexes, men are socialized much differently than women...from age 10 or 11 we've been exposed to sexuality in one form or another, then being graduating to porn...where women are paid to appear to be enjoying sex...for men it's always about sex...if I heard it once, I've heard it many times.."I thought you'd get tired of 'it' by now..." **sigh** Women get disgusted by men because, "..they're out for one thing..." We're damned...

  • i absolutely love her, she's kind nuts but really intsense and I wouldn't want her any other way....and i really love this song....i sometimes have trouble understanding the meaning of all of her music; does anyone know a song that may give interpretations or even literal meaning to some of her music?

  • She is my favorite

  • Lol! Imagine Tori doing that thrusty "throw me up against the wall and lick me" act to you...

  • I suppose most of the people would say: 'Well, okay!'

  • Oh darling I love you.:D

  • oh my god, "throw me up against the wall and lick me." and that little gesture she does before saying that...my god...she's so honest, doesn't hold anything back...i'm not just saying this because of the sexual comment, she IS very sensual, and intense more than anything...if i could find a woman who was this driven and intense, it would be wonderful.

  • Also, to the people who say they miss the "old Tori", perhaps you should learn to roll with the changes and embrace Tori's changing and evolving, instead of pining away for who she used to be. If you're a true Tori fan, then you'll accept where she is on her journey, 'cos I'm pretty sure she'd accept where you're at on yours.

  • Maybe we do?

    Harsh words, chill.

Its okay to appreciate the past while accepting the present. That is something everyone is entitled to.

  • Couldn't agree with you more.

  • I can't think of anyone who is like Tori Amos? That's what is so good about her.

  • I agree.. she is unique. I never though that I would find an artist I like as much as her...

Recently I've been listening to Regina Spektor... similar style. She is still young.. but still has powerful messages in her music as well. I would recommend all Tori fans check her out.

  • Yeah Regina Spektor's pretty awesome. I love them both because they are so unique and take a different approach to songwriting.

  • She does say random things. I think sometimes when you are a prodigy/genius - it makes you a little strange. The string of conversation she offers here makes no sense at all really.

  • I would think that being a little strange would lead to the prodigy/genius thing, if anything, hey.

  • i am just discovering her, what she's all about. she is so different to any artist i have ever come across before. In fact any person i have come across. she speaks out about everything she believes in. dosnt hold back.

I really love this woman, even though she seems a bit nuts sometimes. lol

  • The crazy and the humping piano part is the best part about Tori if you ask me. If she wasn't a little bit nutty it'd be boring!!

  • oh my god, i love her so much! she has strong opinions about everything and still can crack me up every time!! =)

  • "Throw me up against the wall....and lick me."

    If only...

  • LOL!!! That cracked me up. She says the greatest, most random things!

  • Thank you for this. I love this interview. She really does make the most special music.

  • I think you've got the best videos! Thank you so much for posting this! It brings me back many memories of watching and listening to tori way way back. She's an inspiration.

  • she's still a free spirit.

  • she's smart, beautiful, fragile, passionate... I love her so much...

    thanx for sharing!

  • She is such a nut, I love her

  • Definatetly reminds you of the Tori of yesteryear. I dont feel she was ever that creative and insightful again after Pink. Love those early years. And nice to see performances that were cut from the Earthquakes video.

  • You forget Boys For Pele...

  • this three part video series is amazing...she leaves me speechless with her brilliance. thank you so much for posting this. like everyone else, i hope someday she goes back to being the free spirit she once was.

  • THANK YOU SO

i see again the tori amos i'm inlove with

she avolved ,but here she's focused

  • Thank you so much for posting this interview. This reminds me of the Tori I fell in love with many moons ago. I hope she comes back to visit one of these days. I miss her energy.

  • we all miss that, truly, but I think it has to do with sorrow changing you with something like her kiscarriages and the birth of her daughter and being a mom. Being a mother changes you. You can lose yourself in it. You become "Mom" and not just you anymore.

  • Yes that is true, but being a mother doesn't necessarily make you something different. I'm a mother and I am different than I was before having kids in some ways but I'm still "me". The core of me and my personality are still teh same.

  • FallingSky-

If that's true, then you should give Tori the same respect. Sure, she's still the same on some levels, but in addition to being a musician, now she's a wife and a mother, and those bring certain changes.

  • I cannot thank you enough for this. It's quite possibly my favorite Tori interview ever. I adore this creature.

  • She's so funny!

And yes, everything she said here is very true.

  • thank you!!!

    i love her

  • wow. this reminded me of just why i LOVE this woman.

  • THANK YOU for posting the rest of this! The first part was awesome, so happy to see the rest. Everything that is said is SO true.
