I thought you sounded great, man, more correct and similar to Jerry than others on the tube..i.e. you hit all the correct notes and capture the essence of Ripple. Hell I like the way your guitar sounds.
Not bad, man. I was at a stage in youtube where i was just posting songs and not even doing them perfect. just posting the videos on there and not caring if i messed up. i think we both need to practice a little more and then post the songs on there once we have learned them all the way through, lol. nice though, man. grateful dead is one of my fav bands.
yep, it's a piece of junk acoustic I bought in college at a pawn shop for $80. thanks for the positive feedback, though! I bet you feel like a real winner leaving comments like this. troll.

Sure, I´m the world champion dissin´ amateurs into total despair. Consider the $80 as a loss or trade it, doubling the investment, for a Cord (Canada), or
a Crafter (People´s Republic of China).
I did the the same with a solid top Washburn, same splendid characteristics as your piece. Sometimes these deals work out. See, just bein´ honest.
Heya, no harm done. Thanks for the tips. I did change the strings on it with a set of Elixirs, and I sanded down the bridge saddle a bit to lower the action. The tone's a bit brighter and the lower action makes for nicer sounding open position chords, but yeah I'm with ya... saving up for a Martin or Taylor (someday!)
haha, yea i wish i had a camera, i might need to get one, i know what u mean tho as soon as you learn something its just that urge to see what people think about it u wanna see reactions. id like to do the same to show Mr. Jdarks what he has taught me and see if he thinks im doing ok with the stuff he passes on
not bad, really tho u only get one first impression, u know if u would post this video in a few weeks once u have it down..u wouldnt have people telling you it needs practice when u obviously know that, we all need practice...but with a little more time i bet steamboatwillie would be impressed instead of thinking about how much better he is then you. ;D
hiya dp11issosweet - you make a really good point here. truth be told, i admit to being a bit trigger happy with the new video camera and yes, I totally need lots more practice. my enthusiasm from barely learning a song is enough for me to want to share immediately. your advice is well taken and agreed upon - notice i've slowed down my posts. hopefully it'll result in better videos! thanks again
that about says it all. Nicely done

tune the instrument, or even better, burn it. sounds dry as rotten wood.

Needs practice, but fairly nice playing, like the room too.
