Church of Logic, 1984 anyone? But it all seriousness, i agree and have thought of many of the things this man has said. It is upsetting that this man's smarts cannot be used in more imortant matters.
I don't really get why this guy settles for a bouncer job.
2:35 "Put me in charge" - really? Just for the asking? On one hand he says freedoms are earned, and on the other, he seems not to get that positions of power are earned as well.
Countless people of all ages get startups off the ground. If he settles for a bouncer job, it's nobody's fault than his own. Anybody can say "put me in charge", but only few can actually get there, because they do what needs doing to reach that spot.
@plutoplatters Yeah it is easy, so is being a janitor or ticket booth guy. Now those are all decent professions and honest work, but they will NOT lead society to "putting one in charge".
So from the position of nothing more than a bouncer, he doesn't get to say "put me in charge" and be taken seriously.
He knows this, so the fact that he acts contrary to it, is a bit of a mystery to me.
@iceyangstapimp Where the hell is my #5 with eggroll that I ordered like 4 hours ago. Get on you bike and get that shit delivered. Hurry up flim-flam, get those sandals peddlin mos-tik!
Boy, they really made this guy seem like an evil character, using that particularly annoying, verge-of-hysteria, interviewer, and that sinister music in the background.
He's not a bad guy, and in other interviews, he is a very genuine and kind human being.
@dyodoublej Same here, most of the people on here are just mad becuase this guys intelligence and intellect is far more superior to theres. I believe everything he says, his ideas, could solve our problems.
@1pineshooter1: Dink-face, since you yourself broached it (thanks for that nifty word CarCrtic!!), "know the rules ..." refers specifically to I. Expositional Conventions; namely, A. Grammar (eg, conjugation, tense, voice etc.), B. Syntax (word order), C. Diction (word choice) and D. Punctuation (effectively, instruction to readers): All those factor into the Elements of Style; components selectivity, for which you command, at most, only a rudimentary apprehension:Grade5. Now do you get it 'bro?
@simplycomplicated333: Ferociously ... deep, where great whites feast on fleshy limbs in chaotic murk, thrusting and thrashing limbs flail, frantically grasping ... air bubbles, as burgundine [aka burgundy] turbulence envelopes masters and prey, a new order unfurls from chaos, satiating blood lust for another day, 'til the morrow.
@CarCriticAssessor: Wow!!! That is deep sea diving if ever there was such a thing!! You sum up their murderous designs--Chris Langan and his would-be New World Order-NWO cohorts--supremely. I relish your literary style and those incisive allusions have me LMFAO!! WTF, are you some sort of English Lit prof, physicist or something? Let me guess: Harvard, Cal-Tech, MIT, Princeton, NYU or Stanford?
@anomaly19851: Your "litmus test for lifetime success measurement" rates deeply flawed & foolishly obviates eg, "dispositional genetics"; these: non-conformists | anarchists | hermits | unimpressed and/or those whom eschew avarice: fore-or-aft bourgeois predilections, urgencies, values, environment et cetera. Chris Langan appears a) intelligent, b) none-too-familiar with accrued scholarship legacies, c) conflicted as to his "marginalized worldly bid status": Fungibility Rejection
@robertsonrobert1: Rest assured that yours truly commands a vetted 175 score [on a 175 index: all answers correct; "Welcome to MENSA" notification etc.]. As to whether or not you would "give me $10,000.00": For conveyance via eg, a third-party TESTAMENTARY doc....ok, provided that the funds were held in an NON-REVOKABLE escrow, according to an attorney DRAFTED Terms & Conditions Agreement (paid for by you: since, you posit the challenge), approvable by me: no wiggle-room. Roll?
@mujotomi: Consider, for example, that some Operation Super-Clip were to emerge from the current engineered malaise that has overwrought most _; of course, implied -- among other things -- is that lightening-fast analysis & opportunity seizure could remediate granular deformations; so, one's not being up to speed, were that the case ... negligible; were such assemblies management feasible; one's potential contribution-level might quash ashen heap accumulative gulags: birr. Suffice?
@CarCriticAssessor Yes, it suffices - you're mimicking [or is maybe the eye in the sky watching you?] - thank god for that (and thank you for extra reasons for that eulogy-at times you might want to reduce pleonasms, though). Only time will tell if you'll be more successful than CL (re convincing others of veracity of your - claimed - IQ). Good luck.
@MegaDowson: FALSE; calculation agility counts as one aspect of any
unimpeachable intelligence test. Over the recent two decades--hailing
eg, from Schenectady, NY to Venice Beach, CA--multivariate [stats]
analysts focused on cognition verses mere encyclopedic or achievement-based aka knowledge recall hybrid tests. Emergent tests--dare I say accurately--
access & assess creative thinking prowess. Among my favorites hails that
already mentioned. Edward Alf was the smartest mathematician ktm
That is yet another "interesting" inestimable--one of a recent crop of outrageous rapid-growth-exotics-indices--claim, which defies any extant standard, so what the HELL does that mean...
that yours truly & my ilk would need to seek out & clobber some new three-ring circus "hoop holder's" perch, or run-down another steeplechase
steward on some disturbing, obstacle strewn, cross-country course: BUNK,
I conjecture, from what I know of IQ-Test formulation: laudable,
A-OKAY: All tolled & despite his "every man 'ism, raised in adversity, low-brow, Plastic -- Dyed Hair 'wannbe studdly' -- Messiah routine...a la Eddie & the Cruisers"; despite trite rhetoric & orchestration...discounting, too, his "scripting & presentation shortcomings"...he's funny, in a mocumentary manner, as he "aligns himself with the prevailing powers-to-be" [or at least those he perceives might well respond to & bring him on-board the NWO gravy-train (FEMA)]: I like him; he's smart: lol
@CarCriticAssessor See my comment on the previous video. For someone with a 175 IQ, your grammar sucks. Do you know the definition of a run on sentence??? Next time, pick a lie that can't be so easily picked apart on the internet, like "I make a million dollars a year". And if your IQ is really that high, send me proof and prove me wrong. I would love to be proved wrong by someone of your "vastly superior intelligence"...
@robertsonrobert1: Dear Disgruntled Motley Fool: Your grasp of sophisticated, succinct & utterly compressed explication rates abysmal: consider eg, John Gardner's "The Art of Fiction", to quell your information gap. Next, recommended, too, is that you would peruse (study carefully) those of my posts -- glean...adduce what you can...though that may prove futile. Next...go darken another doorstep, with your social misfit, vociferous, attention clamoring antics: 'run off!
@robertsonrobert1: Hey heckler stalker bj bor!!!! Here you are again harassing CarCritic; I read on a bunch of other of this topic's forums where he met your challenge and you failed to reply. Why is that!
Crtic bitch slaps you around like a pitbull getting its teeth kicked in and head split open with a bat!!!!!
LMFAO: you fail big time.
Hey, everyone check out what CarCritic's assessment does to robertsonrobert1 on utube:
@metamemetics: Glad to see another anti-Malthusian proponent orate. Ted Steele's embrace of Jean-Baptiste de la Marck checks denigration: "the ultimate Darwinian put-down" FKA "a lamark 'ism". That slur is no longer brandished among the informed. Nonetheless, the New Order crew -- a massive geo-political consortium -- ass-wipes eg, NASA, the Rockefeller & Ford foundations, along w/ IIEs et al agencies foist "Climate Change" & "Sustainability", re REX-84 & Agenda 21, as per a FEMA run futurology
EVALUATION: Mr. Chris Langan posits an array of convolution. As a verified 175 out of a possible 175 IQ-Test holder [Universal IQ-Test for Military Pilots], I find that his phraseology eg, "present time" -- redundant; since, "presently" or "currently" (adverb) suffices: terse selectivity -- bespeaks a "core fraudulence" ie, at best he rates as an ill-conceived hustler of cliché Malthusian "scarcity" ill-logic; and, at worst, his obesity paired to dyed hair, apes despotic incisiveness: DORK
so he wants to take out free will and free thinking? and he calls himself a genius? how do you think all these famous philosophers created groundbreaking discovers and inventions? i can sure as hell tell you they didn't create them by sticking to the mainstream social flow. pretty sure they did it by separating themselves taking their own steps in life. this guy is is just putting a fancy aristocratic diction on the way a dictatorship and communistic state operates. this guy can go fuck himself.
@1pineshooter1 How so is he a communist/dictator? How is he wrong? Did he say he would take out all free will or free thinking? Just some question? No threat involved. If you respond, cite your works in MLA or any respected fashion of citations. "All these famous philosophers" were mostly in close ties with the government except during the Enlightenment era, in which diverging from authority was actually mainstream at the time.
@EverthingCallOfDuty so the backbone of your argument is going to rely on the fact that he didn't verbatim state that he wanted to take out free thinking? how am i supposed to argue to ignorance?
@1pineshooter1 it's very simple. it's not an argument. its a question. you answer the question. it was you who first argued. like i said earlier - "All these famous philosophers" were mostly in close ties with the government except during the Enlightenment era, in which diverging from authority was actually mainstream at the time.
@1pineshooter1: Adroit, if spotty, assessment of ... his [CL's] "cheerful", if all-guns-blasting psychobabble, engineered [according to the clearly deliberate editorial/directorial slant, orchestrated in Cl's filming, editing and final dubbing] to "seduce" or "mock" less spry 'err, perceived, "powers-to-be" aka the Malthusian-toting NWO ilk eg, Bill Gates et al. Perhaps, it would be best to view CL's "deliverance" as a mocumentary: Eddie & The Cruisers Age & Go-Off? Charming...
@CarCriticAssessor sweet dude you know how to use google thesaurus. you sound so pathetic, conceivably abutting allotment you'll service consultation that you perceive. now promptly go fuck yourself. your not fooling anyone.
@1pineshooter1: Give it up bro!. CarCritic on this topic's utube forms makes amazingly polished comments that nail every aspect of where Chris Langan's head it at, which makes any smart person's head spin, since CarCritic writes in such a crazy smart way that you have to hard-focus to follow it. Sure you got to reread what he says a bunch of times but then suddenly it kicks in, like code or combination breaking; it makes powerful sense. Get dictionary . com and Britannica too!!
@LogicCheck hey bro! whats up bro! i would hardly use the term 'polished' they are the epitome of a run on sentence with monotonous structure returning to the same rebuttal over and over again. what are you trying to prove with your latest reply? do you think that siding with blinded false geniuses makes you smart. do you think your better than anyone bro? huh bro? tell me bro! your just as useless as CarCritic and Chris Langan.
@1pineshooter1: LMAO!!! You clearly graduated, if you did, from the lower % of your class!! For starters, my own casual punctuation in my posts is ok online, but would fail in corp; but, clearly, my writing demonstrates that I know the rules! Whereas, being that you don't have a clue as to nor grasp advanced/sophisticated punctuation, re simple, compound and/or complex sentence structure & sharp syntax, u proceed, too dumb to know u're dumb, spamming superbright CarCritic: WTF bro
@LogicCheck lower %? who's ass did you pull that out of. totally random and irrelevant. know the rules? what fucking rules? are you sure you even responded to the correct comment, nothing you are saying is relevant to my point or what i had to say. You're nothing but a fucking douchebag bro! c'mon bro! Mr.I'mawesomeatsentencestructure bro!
It's clear the production went to great lengths to make this/him creepy. It is shaped and formed by very unnatural, disturbing editing. And that 'interviewer's' mousy, insecure voice, punched in during post production just to contrast Chris' voice?! Annoying.
I'd be happy to meet Chris and suspect a dialog with him would be very different from this.
This video's amounts to a frustrating and disappointing opportunity lost; it could have otherwise provided honest insights.
@WmHBacon: You appear far too optimistic; despite all that directorial mockery or mocumentary perspective....CL's narrative is damning nonetheless, as explicated by many here in our detailed, if compressed, commentary: re-read them. That said, I applaud your enthusiasm for "talent misled"; but, do not be so sure that CL is not playing coy, casting about for a "like minded" capital-angel. Schemes are the recourse of the cornered clever amongst us; hold no doubt about that adage ;-)
@RetardedChickenVids: Bro you say it!! He does resemble that maniac in a borderline way. I noticed the same thing about his face. But I was thinking that aspect of what appears to be CL's shifting looks is partially accounted for by the "weirdness" projected by the director's editorial slant, intentionally compounded, as discussed WmHBacon and CarCritic, by either in-production or post-produciton optical manipulation. For example, lens focal length or aspect ratio tweaks!!!
So cold. I don't hear any compassion in his voice. Don't see any in his eyes. Pure rationality without the consent of emotion. The "mind of God" would have ample amounts of both, in perfect balance. This guy has things half right - but the other half is terrifying.
@davidreynoso97 Mustache, pointy ears, giant brain and head, bodybuilder, that would make an awesome Villain..He even came from a bad home and all that..It's the perfect setup.
Intelligence shouldn't include recycled ideas, especially from an unnamed anti-Semitic fascist dictator. Cognitive Theoretical Model of the Universe sounds a lot like philosophical communism. Here's CTMU for you (nice little rhyme there for you), you are not a true genius, logic can attest to that.
@akieron1992: Bro, come 'on, is that a homo overture or what!!! Do you check out other guys on utube and offer them invitations to come over? WTF!!!! Reread what you wrote and see if you may want to delete it. Certainly, it does not read as some sort of intellectual challenge, as if you were for example a compete mega-IQ charter. Instead, it clearly reads queer as folk, in case you did not realize that, now you know that fact!!!!! Old man CarCritic might say FIX IT!!!! LMFAO
@JVKProduction: Bro you nail that out of the park! Pantheism, which is one of several axiomatic NWO pedagogies that's articulated in the UN's 40 chapter super-crazy Agenda 21 manual. That fact is amply dissected here on utube videos. You and CarCritic are the only two commentators whom pounce on that aspect of CL's charlatan "thought leadership shit".Chris (CL) can't be serious--like CarCritic--posits, he must be role playing, pretending he thinks other brianiacs don't notice!
@MrElloco1979: Bro, you make fun of Chris is a wicked manner, but well said! The guy is clearly "ghosting" something, like nobody's business -- he comes off like a whack-off: well said!!! LMFAO! Good one, and original!!!
@dresdenk: Yeah and that is what both you and CarCritic nail; except he sums it up a bit more elaborately, regarding any "benign despot", with his summary assertion [[Quote]]
"at best he rates as an ill-conceived hustler of cliché Malthusian "scarcity" ill-logic; and, at worst, his obesity paired to dyed hair, apes despotic incisiveness: DORK".
[[/End Quote]]
I was wondering if anyone else had caught that tic in CL's diatribe: you caught it!!! Way to go!
@MegaJf16: Yeah you said it, Chris Langan does come off like a "horror movie unreeling". His near thrombosis, manifest in his bulging pop-out eyeballs action, indicates constricted arterial walls, as if he were about to pop his cork, getting ready for a comeback reprisal of the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW in the Frank-N-Furter [Tim Curry] role. CL wields his words like that lampooning character wields his axe -- spilling gore and blood everywhere he goes!!!! Sicko ... lisp lisp. LMFAO!!!
@Ko252 Forgot the s. And about the premise that 2+2=4. It isnt always correct, since it isnt the case, if you count in a tertiary system, etc. It is all about the context. It surprises me he cant understand that.
@5aaron23 I thought that also. I think that maybe its a good thing that he doesnt rule the world. A man like this with his intelligence and willingness to commit violence and brute force could put this world under a dictatorship we've never seen before.
Re: his IQ. Some years ago, one of the networks featured him in a one-hour interview. The network had him tested at a facility of its choosing. The tester replied with "He's 'off the charts.' " It's important to believe what you will. I happen to think he's real. And that he should do a TED presentation. I'm not surprised that Gladwell profiled him.
@joemichaels1: Stop thinking please!!! Bro TED "presentation: oh how novel indeed. TED and all that shit would make "perfect sense", since Chris is already in lock step (or pretending to be so) with the TEAM-NWO, so look at that, you've come up with an innovative idea!! You should get a gold star on your KINDERGARTEN (notice that word, and all that it implies) report card bro!!!! _UCK OFF. LMFAO!!!!!!!!! Unless you're being factitious too?????
@LogicCheck Well, I THOUGHT Chris was the brightest person in the world. But that was before I read YOUR post. Have you ever had yourself tested? IQ? Encephalitis? Mental illness? I think you'd better lock the door on your bomb shelter behind you, dude. And, oh yeah -- I "got" the reference to "kindergarten." You're way ahead of me. Now, go back to your game of Dungeons & Dragons. P.S. Have you read any of Gladwell's books? Is he NWO, too?
@joemichaels1: hey bro Joe-Joe Michael: LMFAO!! You're viper-crazy: Good job Brownie!!! LMFAO. Seriously, WTF do you do for friends' laughs, spin on your head or on some Leroy Big Bo cellmate prick!!! Seriously, CarCritic said it [[QUOTE]] EXCERPT: Salutations, Major General Albert "Bert" N. Stubblebine III: with the utmost respect....for your ability to have......survived this long. Keep the Feast | Wingless Marks & All: "an 'ole-time pal". Joe-Joe find a girlfriend and/or job!!!
This is a load of crap. His IQ has never been verified by professionals, he believes in something that cannot be proven, therefore that would imply that he doesn't look into facts or the possibilities of facts. He earlier stated that the bigger the brain, the more intelligence. That really only works for humans and maybe primates. Other animals don't have the resources we have or the chances our race has had to develop. He's an egotistical ass with a god complex who needs to be returned to Earth

It is doomed to fail, doomed to cease existing. To make this a better place to live we must do more or less with what Chris is saying. There must be a fundamental level of infallible understanding. We ALL must agree on ONE CONCRETE fact. We must create one out of two opposites, that is God and Logic must not only coexist, but support one another.
The sole problem of freedom is that of the VERY IDEA of freedom, to think, to behave, to simply exist and behave as each individual pleases. This in itself is chaotic, thus chaos theory.
I've thought about everything this guy's saying I can tell he has some very legitimate points. He'd definitely make a great leader! despite that he is selfish in certain aspects, others would perceive that as being a strong intelligent leader. I'd like to hear his explanation on string theory. Speaking astrologically, he definitely falls in the category of an Aries (just so you know, Aries usually have to be #1 to be satisfied). He covers his huge ego by saying he works at a bar as well.
:| they're kinda criminalizing him .... :| i bet he could come up with a plan to fix the economy .... not that he probably hadn't already .... but still
I think it's funny that his IQ actually hasn't been verified and in a previous part of these videos he claimed to have written something massively intelligent and important about AI on a piece of paper and then couldn't find the piece of paper nor could he remember anything about what was written on it, yet he's classed as 'the smartest man in the world'.
This seems all too convenient, and also, if he was the smartest man, surely he'd remember something that was written on the paper?
@SuperAstatine "surely he'd remember something that was written on the paper"
Agreed (but it could be that he wrote many pages till then). Normally it's different when you're just pondering something or writing it down, but in any case, if I'm not mistaken, he supposedly has quite a memory. And of course somebody had to see that piece of paper, and it tells volumes about his bouncer-reputation, if he wasn't able to squeeze relevant info out of people present. Or maybe he just made this story up.
@SuperAstatine aw you killed it man. could be true like he bump accidentally into a binary combination that worked out very well for billions of combinations. kinda hard to remember tbh. im a java programmer student. =P
Imagine people from one hundered years in the future looks back at this video, and think they would say " This man is called the smartest man with only an iq of 195?", it will be all worth it for Langan.
In essense, Langan needs to question every individual's intentions, and just how much, if at all they overlap with the intentions of the collective. I don't think he understands that most people are primarily concerned with their individual struggles and ironically, they form relationships with others who similarly are primarily concerned with their individual success, and ironically foster a friendship by virtue of that agreement. Exactly like the lyrics from the skrillex song:
He's a classic INTP...obsessed with analysis, bursting with great ideas but lacks the personal motivation to follow-through. Of course, given the sheer scale of his ideas and the massive social upheaval needed to put implement them, perhaps he also suffers from intimidation :).
Overall, I think his ideas would be useful in preventing the problems we currently, but I think he needs to question why we have them in the first place, and furthermore, whether people in general are really interested in collective welfare.
His mind clearly works very quickly, but the problem I often find with highly intelligent people is that many of them think their intelligence gives them the keys to answer all of life's questions. His model for society where the ultra high-q run things is neither original nor historically successful. Plato's idea of the philosopher kings was similar to this, and was highly unsuccessful when tried in Italy under Dionyses II. The world is beyond the grasp of even the most intelligent people.
how is this asshole a genius? I had the same opinions as him when I was 14. Hurr durr eugenics hurr durr everyone needs to be a genius. "Freedom is a privilege?" Fuck you man, grow up.
us economy has many more variables then dna raytech70 but yeah i agree his approval of ppl reproducing is stupid but this guy is wicked smart but in ways like the fathers of science like Einstein and i also dont agree with god being the answer to passiveness sense religion has caused almost every war on this planet
This guy is a quack - his IQ scores have never been verified. When someone who claims to have an IQ of at least 195 and also believes in Creationism, you just have to be suspicious.
@urcritic Einstein was qouted saying this. "The more I study science, the more I believe in God." You are probably misled to believe that you know what intelligence would look like if you saw it. I will help you out. If you aren't already intelligent it is almost impossible to fathom the vast concepts that reaffirm any belief in God, but Chris does it quite well.
@WesTheMormonWarrior Another quote from Einstein: "It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it"
Besides, you are using the classic logical fallacy of an Argument from Authority.
@urcritic You must think I'm stupid. You're funny though. There is no argument. However, the point still remains that you are infering that a high IQ and believing in God should not coincide. What fallacy is that? It's okay though I can see how you think by attempting to deligitimize my comment that somehow Creationism is false if you convince yourself of my stupidity. What kind of logic fallacy is that. It brings us back to your apparant issue of recognizing intelligence.
@WesTheMormonWarrior I know there are intelligent people who believe in God - but if you look at studies where IQ was measured against religiosity, the correlation is quite striking. It's absolutely possible that Chris Langan is a creationist who does indeed have an IQ of 200. My initial comment merely pointed out that his creationist viewpoint is a good "red flag". A good sceptic would then investigate further. Hint: Try to follow his IQ references and also read his CTMU abstract, it's rubbish.
@urcritic I appologize for the voice of my text. Also, I'm enjoying this dialog. On a different note, as a fellow critic my entire goal is to look at studies (kind of like the one you mentioned) and analyze all possible distortions and manipulations of words and numbers if I didn't do that I would be the worst critic imaginable. The only reason I am compelled to respond to what you have said is because I too have appreciated the existance of god through logical interpretation.
@urcritic You should underline the word "personal" in your quote, otherwise someone (and you) might think this is a proof that Einstein didn't believe in God. Sorry, but I don't agree with you that Mormon used an Argument from Authority, because it was you who hinted that high intelligence and belief in God as creator don't like to mix, and he only provided one (of I believe many) example (s). If he claimed that Einstein's quote was a proof that there's God, that would be AFA. CONT.
@mujotomi CONT. You're probably talking about Lynn's study. It included youth which don't have very firm beliefs, that is they can change them later after thinking more about life than about girls/boys, parties...I don't know how this study investigated pro or contra beliefs (if at all-f.e. to declare going in church isn't important to you, doesn't mean you don't believe in God etc.), but I'd demand an indepth explanation of those beliefs. Some studies didn't even show any correlation. CONT. 2
@mujotomi I think your "red flag" should be waving when "scientists" of Lynn's kind are making some claims...And did he make a study which would calculate a correlation coeff. between VERY HIGH IQ and belief in God? Did you (since you became suspicious when IQ 195 and belief in God paired)? Actually, from our system's (Nature's-that is, if we believe it exists) point of view it's much more logical (intelligent) to come (after observing and thinking) to some creator, than not. CONT.3
@mujotomi CONT.3 So I'd regard a firm atheist claiming God doesn't exist because for ex. there wouldn't be any injustices in the world, if it did exist, definitely less intelligent than theist who'd explain logically his belief in God. And Lynn's comments look quite stupid to me (he implies fallacious argument called Ad Populum- "Snob Appeal"- implying there's no God because fewer academics believe in it than the general population and they have higher IQs than the general population).
@urcritic There has to be such a thing as Creationism and those who think that there is no such thing also think those who believe in it are unintelligent as you have stated above. However, we can take fundamental laws and break them down to prove creation. Let's take something like energy. It is known that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. If that is true, how do we have energy in the first place? How is there anything in this universe without having the basics created?
@TheWiscy How about just admiting you don't know. I don't know how it started, nobody does - but when someone claims there was a creator they now have the burden to explain how the creator itself could have been created. I don't want to start a debate with a creationist, been there done that. If you believe it, fine, enjoy it (but don't push it on other people). The point is Chris is a fraud - just listen to him speak! Or try to read his CTMU theory, it's convoluted, nonsensical garbage.
@urcritic How did I push what I believe on anybody? I never did anything in that nature, all I did was ask a simple question. I am not saying he is right and I am not saying I agree with his CMTU theory or with what he says in this video. I never pushed what I believed on you and as far as I am concerned you can believe anything you want.
@TheWiscy I was talking generally, don't need to get defensive or take it personally - many creationists like to push their beliefs and moral systems on other people, either socially or politically (e.g. anti-gay marriage, anti-abortion, anti-stem cell research, etc)
@urcritic To be completely honest with you, I support gay marriage, I have no problem with abortion, I am pro stem cell research and I still believe in creationism. I do agree that most people do push their beliefs on others and that is what I try to avoid doing which is why I took what you said a little personal.
@DanMcCaffrey He is a fellow with ISCID, the International Society for Complexity, Intelligence and Design. Just go to their web page and click on the "society fellows" link on the left (2nd from top). Search for "Christopher". It would be great to see him undertake a novel and independently verifiable IQ test. Try to track down an actual reference which quotes his IQ score. Perhaps he practised a particular IQ test format over and over. By doing this, anyone could eventually get a genius score.
@DanMcCaffrey There's vague mention of it in his wikipedia page. Also, people don't become fellows of ISCID just for a laugh. Would you join an organization who's sole purpose is to promote intelligent design if you thought it was absolute rubbish? So, to get an idea of what he belives, just read what ISCID says on the matter. He's always vague about it in interviews I think because he knows it's largely an unpopular view within the scientific community and he likes to pretend he's part of it.
@urcritic so your telling us that only dumb to average people believe in creationisim? And if you have an I Q over 195 or above you have to believe in evolution?
@scarmitdy No, I'm not saying that at all. But many studies have shown there is a strong correlation between lower intelligence and strong religiousity (just google it) - there are always going to be people who fall on the wrong side of the average. My comment merely points out that due to this correlation, his IQ claims need to be furuther scrutinised. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
@betaomega04 Ok, I'll explain, it's because... hold on a second... ha ha, I just realised you're full of s#*t. Either that, or you've been reading the wrong sort of literature my friend. Please provide some credible references to this utterly dubious claim.
The less why know of him the more we speculate and rumor.

He needs to communicate his ideas CTMU on video; or do more to convey himself.

He could do me a favour and write a dictionary of all the strange words use in CTMU.

Anybody can say "put me in charge", but only few can actually get there, because they do what needs doing to reach that spot.
calin4thewin 3 weeks ago
@calin4thewin Because it's easy. He said that already.(basically)
plutoplatters 1 week ago
@plutoplatters Yeah it is easy, so is being a janitor or ticket booth guy. Now those are all decent professions and honest work, but they will NOT lead society to "putting one in charge".
So from the position of nothing more than a bouncer, he doesn't get to say "put me in charge" and be taken seriously.
He knows this, so the fact that he acts contrary to it, is a bit of a mystery to me.
Comment on that if you will :)

I think it's funny that his IQ actually hasn't been verified and in a previous part of these videos he claimed to have written something massively intelligent and important about AI on a piece of paper and then couldn't find the piece of paper nor could he remember anything about what was written on it, yet he's classed as 'the smartest man in the world'.
This seems all too convenient, and also, if he was the smartest man, surely he'd remember something that was written on the paper?
SuperAstatine 5 months ago
@SuperAstatine "surely he'd remember something that was written on the paper"
Agreed (but it could be that he wrote many pages till then). Normally it's different when you're just pondering something or writing it down, but in any case, if I'm not mistaken, he supposedly has quite a memory. And of course somebody had to see that piece of paper, and it tells volumes about his bouncer-reputation, if he wasn't able to squeeze relevant info out of people present. Or maybe he just made this story up.

hero1345679 5 months ago

Overall, I think his ideas would be useful in preventing the problems we currently, but I think he needs to question why we have them in the first place, and furthermore, whether people in general are really interested in collective welfare.
jfh06d 5 months ago
His mind clearly works very quickly, but the problem I often find with highly intelligent people is that many of them think their intelligence gives them the keys to answer all of life's questions. His model for society where the ultra high-q run things is neither original nor historically successful. Plato's idea of the philosopher kings was similar to this, and was highly unsuccessful when tried in Italy under Dionyses II. The world is beyond the grasp of even the most intelligent people.

Eugenics. Funny how those with high IQ's always say it is necessary. Must be something to it but....we all know it would cut out the niggers.LOL

us economy has many more variables then dna raytech70 but yeah i agree his approval of ppl reproducing is stupid but this guy is wicked smart but in ways like the fathers of science like Einstein and i also dont agree with god being the answer to passiveness sense religion has caused almost every war on this planet
goatmilk257 6 months ago
This guy is a quack - his IQ scores have never been verified. When someone who claims to have an IQ of at least 195 and also believes in Creationism, you just have to be suspicious.
urcritic 7 months ago 7
@urcritic Einstein was qouted saying this. "The more I study science, the more I believe in God." You are probably misled to believe that you know what intelligence would look like if you saw it. I will help you out. If you aren't already intelligent it is almost impossible to fathom the vast concepts that reaffirm any belief in God, but Chris does it quite well.
WesTheMormonWarrior 5 months ago
@WesTheMormonWarrior Another quote from Einstein: "It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it"
Besides, you are using the classic logical fallacy of an Argument from Authority.
urcritic 5 months ago
@urcritic You must think I'm stupid. You're funny though. There is no argument. However, the point still remains that you are infering that a high IQ and believing in God should not coincide. What fallacy is that? It's okay though I can see how you think by attempting to deligitimize my comment that somehow Creationism is false if you convince yourself of my stupidity. What kind of logic fallacy is that. It brings us back to your apparant issue of recognizing intelligence.
WesTheMormonWarrior 5 months ago

WesTheMormonWarrior 5 months ago
@urcritic You should underline the word "personal" in your quote, otherwise someone (and you) might think this is a proof that Einstein didn't believe in God. Sorry, but I don't agree with you that Mormon used an Argument from Authority, because it was you who hinted that high intelligence and belief in God as creator don't like to mix, and he only provided one (of I believe many) example (s). If he claimed that Einstein's quote was a proof that there's God, that would be AFA. CONT.
mujotomi 5 months ago
@mujotomi CONT. You're probably talking about Lynn's study. It included youth which don't have very firm beliefs, that is they can change them later after thinking more about life than about girls/boys, parties...I don't know how this study investigated pro or contra beliefs (if at all-f.e. to declare going in church isn't important to you, doesn't mean you don't believe in God etc.), but I'd demand an indepth explanation of those beliefs. Some studies didn't even show any correlation. CONT. 2
mujotomi 5 months ago
@mujotomi I think your "red flag" should be waving when "scientists" of Lynn's kind are making some claims...And did he make a study which would calculate a correlation coeff. between VERY HIGH IQ and belief in God? Did you (since you became suspicious when IQ 195 and belief in God paired)? Actually, from our system's (Nature's-that is, if we believe it exists) point of view it's much more logical (intelligent) to come (after observing and thinking) to some creator, than not. CONT.3
mujotomi 5 months ago
@mujotomi CONT.3 So I'd regard a firm atheist claiming God doesn't exist because for ex. there wouldn't be any injustices in the world, if it did exist, definitely less intelligent than theist who'd explain logically his belief in God. And Lynn's comments look quite stupid to me (he implies fallacious argument called Ad Populum- "Snob Appeal"- implying there's no God because fewer academics believe in it than the general population and they have higher IQs than the general population).
mujotomi 5 months ago
@urcritic If this comment garners enough likes, it will have confirmed Langan's contention that "mediocity has triumphed"
jfh06d 5 months ago
@urcritic There has to be such a thing as Creationism and those who think that there is no such thing also think those who believe in it are unintelligent as you have stated above. However, we can take fundamental laws and break them down to prove creation. Let's take something like energy. It is known that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. If that is true, how do we have energy in the first place? How is there anything in this universe without having the basics created?
TheWiscy 5 months ago
@TheWiscy How about just admiting you don't know. I don't know how it started, nobody does - but when someone claims there was a creator they now have the burden to explain how the creator itself could have been created. I don't want to start a debate with a creationist, been there done that. If you believe it, fine, enjoy it (but don't push it on other people). The point is Chris is a fraud - just listen to him speak! Or try to read his CTMU theory, it's convoluted, nonsensical garbage.
urcritic 5 months ago
@urcritic How did I push what I believe on anybody? I never did anything in that nature, all I did was ask a simple question. I am not saying he is right and I am not saying I agree with his CMTU theory or with what he says in this video. I never pushed what I believed on you and as far as I am concerned you can believe anything you want.
TheWiscy 5 months ago
@TheWiscy I was talking generally, don't need to get defensive or take it personally - many creationists like to push their beliefs and moral systems on other people, either socially or politically (e.g. anti-gay marriage, anti-abortion, anti-stem cell research, etc)
urcritic 5 months ago
@urcritic To be completely honest with you, I support gay marriage, I have no problem with abortion, I am pro stem cell research and I still believe in creationism. I do agree that most people do push their beliefs on others and that is what I try to avoid doing which is why I took what you said a little personal.
TheWiscy 5 months ago
@urcritic Langan believes in Creationism? Ugh, bummer. Do you have anywhere this is said?
DanMcCaffrey 5 months ago
@DanMcCaffrey He is a fellow with ISCID, the International Society for Complexity, Intelligence and Design. Just go to their web page and click on the "society fellows" link on the left (2nd from top). Search for "Christopher". It would be great to see him undertake a novel and independently verifiable IQ test. Try to track down an actual reference which quotes his IQ score. Perhaps he practised a particular IQ test format over and over. By doing this, anyone could eventually get a genius score.
urcritic 5 months ago
@urcritic Actually I was just curious about his creationist beliefs that you mentioned. Where is that said?
DanMcCaffrey 5 months ago
@DanMcCaffrey There's vague mention of it in his wikipedia page. Also, people don't become fellows of ISCID just for a laugh. Would you join an organization who's sole purpose is to promote intelligent design if you thought it was absolute rubbish? So, to get an idea of what he belives, just read what ISCID says on the matter. He's always vague about it in interviews I think because he knows it's largely an unpopular view within the scientific community and he likes to pretend he's part of it.
urcritic 5 months ago
@urcritic so your telling us that only dumb to average people believe in creationisim? And if you have an I Q over 195 or above you have to believe in evolution?
scarmitdy 4 months ago
@scarmitdy No, I'm not saying that at all. But many studies have shown there is a strong correlation between lower intelligence and strong religiousity (just google it) - there are always going to be people who fall on the wrong side of the average. My comment merely points out that due to this correlation, his IQ claims need to be furuther scrutinised. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

@urcritic Then explain why the majority of astrophysicists believe in the concept a supreme architect...

@betaomega04 Ok, I'll explain, it's because... hold on a second... ha ha, I just realised you're full of s#*t. Either that, or you've been reading the wrong sort of literature my friend. Please provide some credible references to this utterly dubious claim.

@urcritic Credible evidence? It's common knowledge in the physics world. Study physics and you'll understand why.
