I've started doing wutan kung fu but i have no broken four bones in my foot :( But i wanted to know what i need to pass my first grading? I know a long fist form and many kicks and punches and stances. But what would i need to pass the grading?
May I ask who or which branch do you study under? and why would you broken bones in your foot? As for WuTan USA, there are many carriculems a student need to pass in order to move up: Strength, Endurance, Accuracy, Fluency, and knowledge of Chinese Martial Arts.
Wutan Kung Fu in the UK. I was sparring and whilst doing a spinning back kick my opposition fell and brought me with him and i landed awkwardly on my foot :(
lol cool vid i liked it aaa can you show the real form like the whole form of northern praying mantis? cause my sifu said to learn it you need great flexibility so i was wonderin O.O but maybe it can be the wushu style of the mantis O.O im from canada all masters martial arts centre
I would suggest you to learn the traditional style of mantis if you have the chance, it would help you tremendously in the future if you learn the WuShu style.
All our forms are very "clean", all the twirling jin are happening internally, unlike the Chen Village Chen Tai Chi, they express the twirling externally (but I believe they must have internal twirling jin). Twirling Jin does not need to be expressed externally. look at BaJi Quan as example, there is lots of rotational jin happening in every move, but noramally you dont see it outside.
Excellent video! All it's the Wutan flavor! My name is Willy Rivero. I live in Venezuela and i'm discipule to Shifu Dai Shi Zhe and Shifu Fu Shong Nan.
is that u?

The Bajiquan was excellent. I liked everything except the Chen. It was WAY to stiff. Not rotations and core twistings and so on.
