Snowshoes are very very very attached to their humans - I had a tortoiseshell cat years ago who would follow me around and would hang out within a few feet of me, but my snowshoe likes to be in my face ALL THE TIME. It is a characteristic of snowshoes. Locking one up separate from their human would be cruel.

I can totally relate to this! Especially since I have the same type of cat but my cat Cosmo is female. She tends to curl up on my feet when i'm sleeping or behind my legs. I laughed when he bit you at the end, Cosmo would have done the same with me, she always does when I mess with her.

My snowshoe "announces" as he's about to jump on the back of my comp chair. Then he crawls forward across my left shoulder, sprawls his purring 15 lbs. across my lap, and THEN he puts front paws and head on my right arm, making "mouse work" kinda tough. Fortunately, he gets bored after about 10 minutes. Gotta love these guys! Ya think maybe they KNOW that your right hand has a "mouse"?

Snowshoes are the weirdest cats! My friend's snowshoe always parks herself on top of his computer monitor whenever he's sitting at it. But then she always falls asleep and every time she falls off and lands square on the keyboard. We figure it's her only way to get attention when he's on the computer. :) It always gives her such a fright and it drives him crazy but she just keeps on doing it as though she has no clue of the consequences..

My friend has a female snowshoe that loves to curl up right on top of his computer monitor when he's using the computer. Only thing is as soon as she falls asleep she falls off the monitor right down onto the keyboard. You can imagine he gets rather annoyed and it gives her a big fright... but she keeps on doing it. I figure it's the closest she can get to having his attention when he's on the computer and she probably likes the warmth too.
