Tornado Warning Lewisville, Tx!

Has anyone seen a sky that looks like pee? I have and it was so weird and freaky. Also I have a tornado siren right across the street. It is loud and spins around scares my dogs.

Totally remember this. I was watching the development of this storm on the news, and became more concerned the closer it got to Lewisville. I started getting really worried when they said the tornado could form at the intersection of 407 and Gardent Ridge. My bro and his family live right there, and my ma was in that erea running some errands with my Grandma. As soon as they mention those crossroads, I went outside and could see the black, rotating, rumbling cloud, and I live by central park.

Haha, me and my sister were driving around after this. There was a street sign knocked down and we stole it XD. I'm going to ask my sister what street cuz she took it with her to her college in Austin. Man those things are fucking sharp I cut my hand picking it up. Oh and part of a tree fell on my neighbors car. It sucked cuz my shoes got all dirty with twigs when I had to walk to Lewisville Highschool. 20 minutes from my house. pea-sized hail from a storm is common from a storm that is not capable of damaging winds. the size of the hail can tell you how strong the storm is in your area. having a cloud rotation above your current location is scary.

My Little Bro and his wife used to live near Lake Lewisville!!!!

But Whelan sirens i think are way better then Thunderbolt Sirens cuz the sound of Whenlans sound way better and Thunderbolt Sirens Get on your nerves sometimes!!!

And T-Bolts Can break down or Malfunction and are too old cuz their ww2 sirens mostly!!!

Whelans are voice Command and different pitch and sound better to me!!!

I wish Dallas Tx would replace all their T-Bolt sirens!!

Hey man, Thunderbolts are the best sirens out there. They don't always break down, they only break down when the EMA or city leaves them in disrepair, which just shows they care less about warning their citizens in an event of an emergency.

Whelen sirens are all right, but they are no match to the power of a Thunderbolt siren.

Whelen sirens are electronic, and Thunderbolts are mechanical. Electronically produced sound tapers off much more than mechanical sirens do. Mechanical sirens chop up the air flowing through them while electronic sirens just vibrate the air. I should know because I own 4 mechanical sirens of my own and 2 electronic sirens.

Of course you are going to try and prove me wrong but I'm just telling you how it really is.

@CowboysFourlife1985 T-bolts weren't produced in WW2, they were cold-war. Really, if you like Whelens then spell Whelen right. Plus, voice command takes a long time because it has to rotate four times before it can go to the warning signal.

Btw, sirens are SUPPOSE to get on your nerves. If they don't, it's a bad thing.

I think the first siren you hear is a WPS 2810.  Lewisville has 2 Whelen WPS 2810 models and the rest are Vortex series.
