Also, most foreign sport cars use carbon fiber Driveshafts resulting in less rotational mass. This may be the cause as to why Nissan is able to put down more to the ground. I know the S197 plats don't use carbon fiber driveshafts. We use big liter V8s for fuel efficiency.
@Texarmageddon not really,you can get good fuel efficiency out of 6 cy cars,for example the cts-v is an v8,very fast and quick,one my fav cars but it's not the best on gas.Why you think they don't sell good in other countries were gas prices are really rediculous,also some of the most bad ass cars are 6 cy,prime example, grand national,supras and the gtr.i'm a huge vette fan ,but you to give credit to nissan thou, i rather have the zr1 than the acr,its a better car overall
@heartboy86 Supras and GTR both get worse gas mileage than the Zr1/Viper. Small engines with High horsepower applications are going to work harder than the bigger engines with equal horsepower. Second, Viper is an expensive car period. You'd need a Z06 to even run with a viper. The corvette is still around due to the base model c6 which runs around 40k. Leave Zr1/Z06 by themselves and they'd follow the bandwagon. .4 seconds is not something you can easily make up
@Texarmageddon it depends on which vip and zr1,yes its true that the vettes and vips get good mph to be sports cars with that performance,all i was saying that nissan,to me,have done a good job with their gtr,bring only a 3.8 v6 and with supras,those inline 6 cy were made to hold alot of power
@Texarmageddon and the acr vs zr1 is not a good comparison,the acr is basically a modded version of the base viper with and air intake,suspensions,air filters, and not to mention a v-10 against a v-8 that finished like .4 of seconds quicker than a v-8 zrl,over all the vette is a better car and plus there are plans of discontinuing due to poor sales of the viper

@heartboy86 the new lacrosse is a beautiful car an you cant deny that .. but the caprice an the impala are identiacal inside an out .. jux molding differences . but the old lacrosse an the impala are completly different inside an out jux use the same frame an share it with the monte an grand prix . but the 2010 lacrosse uses the epsilon 2 platform with is also used on the malibu so its actually not sharing anything with the impala

@kingjosh2007 actually the crosse and impalas are pretty much the same car,they bothe had ls4 engines,producing about 300 hp with a 0-60 time around 5.5 sec,why make two cars just alike,why not just keep the impala as an SS, that would of been my 4door vette if i was ceo of GM,not taking nothing away from the cts-v,the proclaimed vette with four doors

@heartboy86 You do know the ACR viper does exist right? ACR Viper is ahead of both the zr1 and GTR with the same price of a zr1. Also, most foreign sport cars use carbon fiber Driveshafts resulting in less rotational mass. This may be the cause as to why Nissan is able to put down more to the ground. I know the S197 plats don't use carbon fiber driveshafts. We use big liter V8s for fuel efficiency.

@Texarmageddon not really,you can get good fuel efficiency out of 6 cy cars,for example the cts-v is an v8,very fast and quick,one my fav cars but it's not the best on gas.Why you think they don't sell good in other countries were gas prices are really rediculous,also some of the most bad ass cars are 6 cy,prime example, grand national,supras and the gtr.i'm a huge vette fan ,but you to give credit to nissan thou, i rather have the zr1 than the acr,its a better car overall

@heartboy86 Supras and GTR both get worse gas mileage than the Zr1/Viper. Small engines with High horsepower applications are going to work harder than the bigger engines with equal horsepower. Second, Viper is an expensive car period. You'd need a Z06 to even run with a viper. The corvette is still around due to the base model c6 which runs around 40k. Leave Zr1/Z06 by themselves and they'd follow the bandwagon. .4 seconds is not something you can easily make up

@Texarmageddon and the acr vs zr1 is not a good comparison,the acr is basically a modded version of the base viper with and air intake,suspensions,air filters, and not to mention a v-10 against a v-8 that finished like .4 of seconds quicker than a v-8 zrl,over all the vette is a better car and plus there are plans of discontinuing due to poor sales of the viper
