In video I put in description, indeed I used Synthesia, however the sound of piano doesn't come from it. Synthesia has never generated any sounds. This program is based on MIDI system specification. It uses low-quality samples table from your soundcard, which obviously is part of MIDI standard. It sounds much worse, cause there's no space for built-in hi-quality samples. Of course you can replace them by other virtual devices (VST programs) with samples libraries.

This is a gorgeous song but this arrangement... I think this one just doesn't fit in the purpose of the song... Well, I see it's a funest song. So it should contain less notes, e longer ones. This creates an funest atmosphere. But I guess that putting so many notes on a piano creates an atmosphere of desperation... like, if there was a thin line between funest song and desperation song, and this arragement crossed it...

Actually, this is more of a transcription of the orchestral version of this song, not the piano version. The kid that did this originally did it by ear, listening to the original version, and played it that way :3

Gosh, I absolutely love this song. I've never seen the movie Requiem for a Dream before, though. I've heard it was one of the harshest movies ever made. Is that at all true? I read it was an immensely difficult to watch anti-drug movie, even though I've heard it was a masterpiece.
Either way, I love this song. I can't tell you how many times I've pressed the repeat button on this video. When I get a keyboard of my own (I'm looking to getting a Yamaha DGX 640) I intend to learn this.

are you sure it can be played by only two hands? I tried the very first few measures, and unless you press the octave on the left and let go after 1 beat to play the subsequent notes in the right hand, it's impossible to hold onto the octave...

@CMcMuffin13 Yes, you've got a right, but people usually don't know what is the title of the pieces they hear when they are watching the move, so they usually typing requiem for a dream theme, that's why I prefer the title in this case. I mean they are thinking like "I would like to learn that awesome theme from the movie Requiem for a Dream, let's find something" ;)

The newer synthesiaversions are shit with computergenerated sound.

@CMcMuffin13 Yes, you've got a right, but people usually don't know what is the title of the pieces they hear when they are watching the move, so they usually typing requiem for a dream theme, that's why I prefer the title in this case. I mean they are thinking like "I would like to learn that awesome theme from the movie Requiem for a Dream, let's find something" ;)
