The NBC game show lineup at this time was $ale, WHeel, Dream House, Go, and the Match Game/Hollywood Squares hour. Hot Potato replaced go on January 23, 1984. Scrabble bowed on July 2, 1984, replacing Dream House.
I don't remember this game show, it must not have been on the air very long. Its nice to see these actors having a little fun. I wish I could turn the clock back a little.
Great to see this again ... especially gorgeous David Oliver, who was great as Perry on Another World. So sad that he died so young. AW and Search for Tomorrow were really good about this time and the NBC lineup also had great games then, too (Go!, Sale of the Century, Scrabble).
I agree bout David Oliver passed away so young and he was good as Perry. And yes during that time NBC soaps were good during that time. I stopped watching AW when Judi Evans joined the show
It also had to do w/the fact that NBC placed it in the 12 noon death slot, where many a game show died a quick death (Mindreaders, Chain Reaction, Just Men, The New Battlestars, Hot Potato, etc).
I did see this show which lasted 3 months on the air on NBC in late 1983. It was great to see this video which it was the late Sherry Mathis (SFT) and the late David Oliver on Another World. I enjoyed seeing this clip with Mary Page Keller, Stephen Yates, Marcia McCabe and Lisa Peluso.
It's actually quite simple. The two bottom players have to ask a question alternating one word at a time. The person at the top must answer the question. Once a right answer is given, the player advances to the next pair on the team. You have to go down and back to complete the round. The first team sets the time for the second team to beat. Whomever wins goes on to the bonus.
Was Perry Carl's son?

For the fourth word, since one person was supplying the question alone, they didn't have to pause in between which gave them an advantage.

I agree as well. NBC rocked the early 80's
Search For Tomorrow, Days, AW and Santa Barbara were the best on daytime. Even though they were 3rd in the daytime ratings, they were the best.

Can you tell me how they switched from the main game to bonus game set? (I used to think the bonus set was behind the main one)

It is. It's a big turntable (Like I'm Telling!)

This show is just a slightly revised version of "Chain Reaction". I can see why it didn't last long.

I don't understand how this game is played? No wonder it didn't last long.
Nor do I see those two "Search for Tomorrow" stars--McCabe & Peluso. Can you, Pimlico Calico, tell me where in the video I may find them?
Thanks.

Never mind, I found them in the "Popeye" word. But I still don't get how this gosh-darned, confounded game is played??
That also looks like Sherry Mathis ("Liza Walton Kaslo Sentell #4") from "SFT" answering the clues.
