  • Yes Lord Yes.Thank you. This is one of the greatest gospel songs in the history of gospel music.I absolutely love it.To this day I take my lunchtime nap listening to it.Thank you JESUS for blessing Myrna with the talent to give it to us.

  • This song was recently sung at Apostle Lobias Murray's Homegoing Service.

  • I was fortunate to have met Myrna Summers back in the late 70's when she was at New Samaritan Baptist Church in Washington,D.C. . She is such an anointed singer. This is one of my favorite songs of all times.

  • I love listening to this song up to a point. It was a beautiful reminder of where my loved ones have gone and where I will be going. With that being said, the feeling of this song was changed when Myrna Summer chastized the choir by saying, "You missed it". Most individuals never would have noted the mistake. Also, it may not have been a mistake as the choir was following it's Music Minister and not Sister Summer. Nonetheless, GODS blessings, grace, mercy and lovingkindness to all.

  • @joella64 Beautiful song and beautifully done, but the problem is she was trying to direct and sing. She's the soloist, not the director. Every choir member know to watch the director, no matter what the soloist does. They were following the director and not her. They didn't miss it. I agree, she shouldn't have said anything and just flowed because it was definitely flowing.

  • oh yes, thank you Lord.. uncloudy day!!

  • Thank You, I found this song today. Wow. It has been a blessing to listen to. The worlds are meaningful and powerful. I will carry it with me daily! God is Good!

  • I felt the power of God in that song!!! There's no feeling like it!

  • Wonderful..........Uplifting..........Truly Beautiful

  • @mosesanderson7

May God keep you and lead you in the path he has appointed for you.

  • @mosesanderson7 It is better to enter heaven alone than both be sent into the pit of hell. Stolen it tastes sweet but, when all is eaten it is bitter for life and worse for soul!

  • LORD HAVE MERCY THIS POWERFUL WOMAN OF GOD STILL HAS THAT FIRE BURNING THAT JUST CHASES THRU MY SOUL. I REMEMBER MYRNA SUMMERS FROM WASHINGTON TEMPLE COGIC BACK IN THE EARLY AND LATE 80S.

  • HALLALUJAH! PRAISE THE LORD! YOU GO MYRNA. Now that's singing right there. GLORY!!!! Touch all the way to the soul. That choir is tight..

SAAAAANG TENORS!!!! Listen to those tenors make those changes.

  • I LOVE ALTOS. Her voice is like velvet.

  • @mosesanderson7 He is able!

  • This is my all time favorite gospel song. Then ending it with the COGIC theme . This made my night.

  • can't wait for the uncloudy day

  • sannnnng Miss Myrna

  • I remember when Myrna's homechurch was Refreshing Springs COGIC of Maryland. When my family I joined Myrna was just leaving. For a while I heard nothing of her music ministry and I was sad but I hear she's still going forth. The anointing drips off of her.

    This was powerful!!

  • this song lifted me right out of my chair. joyous, spiritual and feeling Jesus,

  • Myrna, you are bad!!!! The annointing is untouchable!!!

  • THIS SONG JUST REASSURE ME THAT MY LIVING SHALL NOT BE IN VAIN AS LONG AS I PUT JESUS FIRST IN MY. TO GOD BE THE GLORY

  • i remember this song from the late 80's,and if you follow gospel music you may remember it to, it actually brought tears to my eyes thinking of my sister uncloudy day

  • Myrna Summers is truly an anointed vessel.

  • Outstanding, outstanding, kudos and acclamations to Myrna!

  • awesome, awesome, awesome

  • Oh my God! Just sitting here praising God, What a wonderful selection. My spirit is just overflowing! Thank U JEsus

  • This song was song at my grandmother's and brother's funeral and it moves me everytime I hear!

  • Mother Josephine get the sheet!!!! I'm going out! That woman sang that song!

  • as my little sister would say, "AYE GOD!!"

  • I love this video. So glad that I ran across it. Beautiful song!!!!!

  • That CHOIR SANG! AND SISTA put in time and A .5 not only did she deliver that message but she directed! I think the Old saints would say BUT GOD!

  • Yes Suh!!!

  • This was absolutely phenomenal and I really miss mass choir singing like this. It just touches you very deeply.

  • she wrote and dedicated this song to my cousin who died in a fire... wayyy back in the day... before i was born,

  • Yeah was that necessary to say?? Even if it wasnt a funeral service, the choir was still perfect

  • I really love this song and i would love to get the sheet music to this song. I think this would be a great song for my choir to sing.

  • Oh I cannot wait until that day. This song just makes you want to go to that place. Thanks for the post and the memories.

  • AMEN!!! Praise the Lord!! Oh i can't wait till that day!

  • Beautiful selection but the words are so true so true!!!

  • I love this song, you are truly a blessing. I listen to this song everyday, sometimes several times a day.

  • Me too!

  • This is for victorya van-plet. R.I.L.

  • i'm in love with the sopranos...they are not over the top incredible but they are just right. The choir was awesome

  • Love it, but what does Myrna mean when she says "you missed it"? and was that necessary to say

  • I figured it out. When she was singing "of an un" the choir was singing" oh they tell me" which meant they weren't following her.

  • Can you find me in the choir? This was a very sad day; somehow, I was trying not to look sad but, I looked mad; not mad at all but, glad that Bishop wasn't suffering any longer and Mrs. Patterson could rest, finally. R. I. P. Bishop forever, I love you, always, your Bountiful Blessings children, Lawanda...

  • I was so blessed tonight listening.........

  • The choir is awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • This song is intense. Our choir used to sing it on the regular. Just brings back a lot of memories.

  • Myrna still got it!

  • it's one of those songs... all u have to hear is that first cord, and that whole church just erupts....

  • I just love how this song starts off , you know with the organ. But a beautiful songggg

  • I love this song it brings back so many real and precious memories of when my parents were still living. Thank God for a new life in Christ Jesus and a comming never ending reunion around God's throne with all the saints from the ages !!!

  • Oh I remeber this song. Myrna you still got it sister!

  • I love this song

  • @ 4:19 I GOT CHILLS....... WHEEEEE WOW.. What church and in what city and state is this choir and or lead singer from? Thanks!???>

  • That is the Voices of Bountiful Blessings from Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ in Memphis, I think the COGIC jurisdictional choir is singing with them.

Myrna Summers is the artist, she use to be on staff at TOD back in the day, but she is in Washington now if I am not mistaken. She is annointed.

  • you're right on that one but that's actully the Tennessee 4th Jurisdiction Choir. Bountiful Blessings Ministry is part of that Jurisdiction which GE.Paterson also presided. now it's led by Bishop Jerry Maynard

  • Glory to God! Sing that song for Jesus. HALLELUJAH!

  • i love the spirit of God!

  • SANG DAT MYRNA!!!!!!!

  • this is a anoited woman and always has been anoited. If you listen to anything Mryna has done, you can hear just the anoiting and the dedication to worship

  • Reid Temple got some anointed folk!!

  • Acts 2:38

    Jesus Saves!!!!

  • If you've been born again, after hearing the words to this song all you are doing is picking up your key board and screen off the floor, because you've just knocked it over shouting. This songs runs me.........

  • This song has worked me so until I had to say, YES, GOD I yield, I will not run from my calling anymore.. I have step out on the word. There's not way I can miss seeing all of this beauty... My face is soaked in tears, I have been in here pure hollaring out to GOD!

  • this song brings back memories of when i was a child. we use to listen to this on our family vacation. what a beautiful song. this is what it is all about people of God. remember either heaven or hell, being almost saved is totally lost.

  • 2nd part:

Oh they tell me of a king

    And His beauty, beauty there

And they tell me that our eyes

Shall behold as He sits on the throne

    And its whiter than snow

In that city made of gold

Oh they tell me of an uncloudy day

  • Can anyone send me the words to this song. It is my favorite however, I spend most of the song humming stuff...lol. If anyone can send me the CORRECT words, I would appreciate it. I'm tired of saying Oh they tell me of a hum in its beauty, beauty there. lol

  • The original words to this song can be found in the COGIC hymnal on page 172 'The Unclouded Day.'

  • God was is certainly in the midst, this song is God's doing the Creater, Author, and Finisher! Hang in there, Myrna we love you! Lisa Waiters

  • This song is a blessing and those sopranos rock!! Keep Mother Patterson in your prayers..

  • Thats awesome I hop I can make it some times its easy to get caught up here on earth and forget there's another part after all we see with our eyes is gone.

  • Beautiful! Praise God!

  • Video is still up maybe you just had a momentary glinch.

  • I listen to this song everyday, it is so spiritual

  • Thank God for Myrna!! One of her albums blessed me when I was born into the kingdom of God. I lost the album, but after singing nothing but worldly music all of the my life, God gave me a new song -- and listening to Myrna helped me appreciate gospel music.

  • i love myrna.

  • I remember this song from when I first got saved and it still blesses my soul. GOD bless you always Sister Myrna Summers! I am still praying for the C.O.G.I.C family and First Lady Patterson. What a blessing to the body of Christ Bishop was.

  • Thank ya Lord! Halejuia! She is the best singing this song! She is really feeling it! Praise Jesus

  • Yes!! Pray for everyone & for God to destroy Satan's evil devices..

  • Sister Patterson we love you in San Bernardino California.

  • Myrna does something with her finger that no other chior director can do.

  • I can't speak for NOBODY else.....but this BLESSED me!

  • This sounds like the James L. Sanders memorial choir of Greater Sanders Temple COGIC

  • Our choir song this song at my Great Grandma funeral and it tore the church up. I had to get my praise on lol

  • This is one of the most touching songs, it reaches into the depths of your faith, and hope of our reward. I am so greatful for the anoiting i feel in this song, thank you for sharing this Great Hope of Salvation in Song

God sure smiled on the choir & Myrna in this song. I wish I could have been present during this recording. My eyes would have been full of tears. Thanks ApostolicReturns for sharing this Blessing

  • I Love This Song. My church choir sung this song at my father's funeral and yes it uplifted me. All I could do was thank God!! Sing Myrna

  • I love this song. My grandfather just passed away and I am going to play this song at his funeral. sister summers really can sing that song. Sleep on Bishop patterson

  • that choir is huge

but no choiir is big enough for the man lost

  • Just lost a loved one and this a helped me greatly God knows what a heart needs Thanks please continue

  • The choir missed it at 6:59, but it's very difficult when two folks are directing the same song. Like you, I've been singing in GMWA type mass choirs forever. However, one must give some slack here. I know Myrna Summers wrote the song, but the choir was following *their* director so they really can't be faulted. If anything, the director should have been watching Myrna. They did good considering this was an *international* homegoing with artists and luminaries coming from everywhere!!!

  • I knew this song when it first came out and I was little one back then. I know this song from front to back. And I agree with cjzlady, I never knew what Ms. Summers looked like until now. I always sing this song when I'm down. It has a meaning that some songs can't measure.

  • Search on the youtube UNCLOUDY DAY (ORIGINAL) - MYRNA SUMMERS & REFRESHING SPRING

and be blessed. Notice her voice was higher then. Also youtube MYRNA SUMMERS - WORSHIP MEDLEY This is in her younger days when she was a devotional leader in the Temple. I trust you enjoy

  • great song

    bishop is missed

  • dont drang out a song when the choir isnt familar with what u are going to do. myrna felt it which was okay but this was the funeral of the great bishop ge patterson

  • they sang this song like true professionals im sure the great bishop patterson would have loved it. and thatwhole ending part shouldnt have happenened. they only practiced for the original song. not her catching the holy ghost dragging the song out

  • u aint supposed to say that to a choir at a funeral

  • do she have a cd with this song

  • I played this song thru my labor with my first baby in 1982. It helped then and now on focusing on peace. I'm glad this is still a blessing.

  • Sing Myrna Summers, I remember her back in the 80's, the album with her daughter's picture on it?

  • ok?.....but huh myrna? lol wow...lol we all missed it

  • The part that was missed is at the end of this video at 6:59 when she was holding "Un" in uncloudy and the choir was to hold the note. I missed it at first until I kept listening, listening, and listening

  • This song always ushers me into a praise in the heavenlies - I thank God for singers who move in the spirit realm.

  • Ooooh How I love this Song. SANG MYRNA

  • That's just Myrna, she is a true worshiper and songstress, I love this song and the honesty of her expression!

  • Yes, this song is so appropriate for the ocassion. I loved Bishop Patterson. My heart was broken when he passed. I am still in mourning. However, I dont weep as though who have no hope. I have an anchor which goes beyond the veil. Oh Bless God all day.

  • I have all three DVD's because of the singing OMG was there some worshipful singing. My heart went out to Mother Patterson and that family. I saw there hurt. And even on the mother's board members' faces. And I know she could not help but say you missed it. lol She did not mean any harm it just comes out. That is a Dr. Mattie Moss Clark moment there.

  • Is the lady singing Dr. Mattie Moss Clark?

  • You're so right! She was also partly directing the choir and that's a "Director's Thing" Regardless - they were anointed singing this song. (I think it was kind of cute) well at least she held the note for them. lol

  • Awsome! I wish she had not said "you mssed it." I bet she wishes so, too.

  • YOu are so right. It was not necessary. It sort of broke the flow. But we live and learn don't we.

  • She wasn't saying it in a bad way...

  • The sopranos sound pretty awesome on this song.

  • This is the best homegoing song I ever heard. It takes you into a peace which take away all fear of Dying " I wish Sister Summers and this Choir make a CD of this song" I know it will sell! Love Patricia J. Alonzo

  • I probably wouldve passed out singing this...songs like this take me in and out..so anointed.

  • bless , this is what we can look forward to when we see our father

  • If anybody know the words to this please post them.

  • Thanks for the emails of the words I really appreciate them

  • You can find this in the new national Baptist Hymnal Or the African American Hymnal

  • you can actually go to google and put in

"Uncloudy Day by Myrna Summers Lyrics" and it will come up...it is easier to find the lyrics than to find the actual song! Hope this helps...God Bless.

  • Oh they tell me of a home, far beyond the skies. Oh they tell me of a home, so far away. Yes, they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise. Oh they tell me.
