  • how much is a hair weave usually ?? cuz i just went to a salon and the lady told me $250 for the work and you have to bring me the hair extensions as well... i was hoping to get it done for $200 at the most. with it including the extensions . its all I have...

  • @punxneverdie86 depends on where u go..sum of the cost usually around 200 but they ask for u to by ur own hair though..which would probably bring u up to 250..personally its waay to expensive for me..thts why i learn how to braid and sew myself

  • nice pattern

  • how long is the track in all?

  • kill the camera guy

  • This is what people need to understand, YOUR hair will SHED when you take the weave OUT b/c generally we shed 90 to 100 hairs a DAY! That is normal, so when you have your hair in a weave, braids etc, it will SHED more than normal. Also, there are BLACK women that have shiny, silky beautiful hair too.. AND, Blacks arent the only ones who wear weave! So my question is, when WHITE women wear weave, who are they trying to be like?? Good job

  • @yvonne122371 Exactly. And pple seem to forget that black pple have been wearing weaves for thousands of years since Egypt. We certainly werent wearing for white folks then or now.

  • charkenna?

  • i think to avaiod hair loss when sewing in tracks is using a hair net. or conditioning very well before taking or cutting the thread

  • What kind of hair is this?

  • wut kind of weave do u get if u want it to curl up when u wet it, kinda like bootz hair off the flavor of love?????

  • +that hair is called spanish weave that bootz had

  • @ImJockinOnDeseHataz its called wet'n wavy

  • remy hair

  • the problem I came to realize with sewing the tracks directly to your hair is that...when you take out the tracks, you hair tend to shredd while combing it out. And I believe it's due to using the needle directly on your hair. This has happened to me many times before. So now I use do a quick weave wig, and cornrow my hair back. And that way my hair can stay healthy and I can change styles as often as I want

  • u can also make your own weave clip ins...jus buy wig clips sew it on to the weft and den put the clips on your hair...its much better cuz u can switch up da styles and its safer than glue

  • Nice vid, however the girl who is laid up in the bed ughhh! that is not a cute look for the video.

  • Well, ignore her. And, she isn't "laid up." Just Laying across the bed. I have seen many videos with many other things happening in them.

    ~L.37~

  • @Lucilious37 I would like to know what style you are going for and the best way to braid the her to achieve that look or does it matter. Thank You

  • ok get another camera person coz i didnt see wat u did at all

  • Well, you can't expect too much when the camera person is a computer...lol

    ~L.37~

  • so did she keep sewing the hair non stop like in a circle w/o cutting the tracks or did she cut it when she made a complete circle?

  • but how to you start it

  • Im bout to start getting sew ins again becuase when I use to get them they made my hair grow a lot and it got real thick.

  • didn't your hair fell off when you removed the weave?

mine did, but i want it again, but i'm scared

  • No, my hair did not fall out.

    ~L.37~

  • There is a must read book for the hairstylist coming out of school called "From the bowl to the chair" a must read for 9.95

  • i love it make more.....very neat!!!! get it gurl!!!! LOL

  • what kind of hair are you using?

  • does it pull your hair out when you knot it?

  • i would not recommed u leave your sew in for 2 months because when the hair gets dirty and sweaty it tends to knot which breaks the hair

  • Tht's not true I wear weaves all the time it's longer than 2mos I wudn't recommend if the person takes good care of their natural hair (regular washing&depp conditioning w/oiling their scalp) as well as the weave they shud b fine hey it's a recession folks gotta get their money's worth! :)

  • are sew-ins bettr than quckweaves?

i want one or the other, but that's cheap, CuTe, n last mor than a cupla days :) thx!

  • does anybody know a good way to sew in a weave so that it can be worn in a high ponytail

  • It is possible. You Can part the inside of your hair in a big circle. Braid the hair in like 3 circles in side that big circle and sew the hair in (I hope that makes since)... the outer part of your hair will be out so that you can pull it up into the ponytail and cover up the other part of the hair. I hope that helps.

    ~L.37~

  • thnx i will try :)

  • It is possible as she said but you won't be able to wear it down.

  • ok i like how she do it

  • the camera person was not good

  • is 2 months too long to keep a weave in ?

  • No ma'am as long as u take good care (regular washing&deep conditioning treatments plus oiling ur scalp on a regular basis) of it u shud b fine I wudn't recommend wearing a weave longer than 2mos but tht's jus me it's totally up 2u ur the best person who knos ur hair :)

  • can u help me out... i want a bob hairstyle but how would i braid my ha cause i want to be able to part it from any direction

  • Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but you have to braid the hair around the location of the part which means, the part is NOT versatile.

  • HOW LONG DOES DEY STAY IN??

  • Im trying to do my own. And i need to know how many tracks to a braid? and whats the best style to braid it in? and is that better or with the cap?

  • Well, normally there is one track to a braid. The cap is optional and people use it for different reasons. I use the cap because it makes it easier for me to take the weave down (for me anyway). How you braid the hair really depends on the style you get. Hope this helps.

    ~L.37~

  • gud vid gurl!

  • Thanks!

    ~L.37~

  • somebody who has watched your tutorials over and over nobody special lol we obviously go to the same websites mto is a trip so i saw you on there and gave you a shout out no beef here!

  • Oh really, I don't remember that trip, but I do have bad memory... LOL.

  • seen you on mto jackie

  • Who this be?

  • this helps alot

  • can u please do a close up on how to close the top ! I'm thinking about just using glue on the closing attached to a piece of net and use that as a closer ??

  • how do u braid the hair?

  • There is a how to braid the hair video.

    ~L.37~

  • Video very well-explained :-) Neat braids & Neat sewing technique... UUUUmmmmm a rare jewel stylist

  • I was wondering what type of thread do you use for the hair. Is there a special kind of thread.

  • WEAVIN THREAD

  • what if you have thin hair

  • You can still do it!

    ~L.37~

  • They might be a beginner like me lol that was funny and Im a beginner too

  • i'm sewing in curly hair can u do a videos on that. im and so lost im am bout to take the hair out and just say fuck it

  • I probably wont be doing curly hair for a while, but I'm sure it's some videos out there. I have said forget it several times when I was half way done with my head and took the hair out. It can be frustrating, but keep practicing!

    ~L.37~

  • I just wanna say thanks for putting this up. I've just tried your method and my hair is flat and secure.

  • Thanks! Glad we could help.

    ~L.37~

  • you need way better light cuz I still can't see what you are doing.

  • Great effort. Check out my vid and tell me what you think...BK

  • loooooooooooooooolest!!!!!!

  • I'm natural but if I want strait hair I do sew ins (its better than burning my real hair by flatironing). I love my hair strait and nappy depending on hiw I feel. There is nothing wrong with wanting strait hair. But I don't like relaxers cause they burn my scalp really badly.

  • I know what you mean. I am the same way.

    ~L.37~

  • i saw the last video of how ur hair looked and it was beautiful! how long did you keep to tracks in?

  • Thanks!

If you are talking about the wet and wavy, I only kept it in for a wee. The other ones kept in for like 3 Weeks.

    ~L.37~

  • thanx! what type of hairstyle do you suggest for a military ball/formal dance?

  • For that occasion, I prefer an updo. Something like loose curls pulled up into a ponytail or pincurls.

    ~L.37~

  • Excuses excuses you're all in denial white women has has a huge impact on you all

    I that very sad

  • Well, hey you feel how you feel and it's nothing wrong with that. Let me be in denial.....

  • fuck that shit

i think you sew a fiiine weave.

  • black women invented weave, but whites like to copycat our things. nobody cares what you says cause youre so pathetic

  • First off, white women ARE NOT the only ones with silky long hair. Hispanics,Indians, ect. have long silky straight hair too. and last time i checked, black women buy INDIAN remi hair. So, get your head out of ur ass. Yall aint influencing SHIT.

  • @missssBAD

Black people have silky hair too. It depends on how you take care of it. I HATE WEAVES but sometimes you have to give your hair a rest. =/ Your rude comment sucked.

  • You girls are in denial white woman has had a huge impact on making you feel insecure about your natural hair

If you were proud of your natural hair you would't hide it

  • Oh how you love to entertain me.... I do wear my hair natural Mr. Maximus... and I am not ashamed, maybe it's because you have not seen a recent video. Hmmm, would you like for me to send you a pic of me with my natural hair? Would that make you feel better? It's called options... deal with it!! Oh yeah, and I'm sure you don't know but half...

  • thank you, because i am natural myself, and i also like options, so girl i agree, somtitmes u just want a different look, i think we all r influenced by different cultures and backgrounds

  • the same way white women like having tan skin and butt inplants

  • LOL

    ~L.37~

  • heyy what kinda weave is that ?

  • Wet and Wavy by Milky Way,

    ~L.37~

  • heyy i just wanted to know what kinda weave that is ? i wanna try it out haha

  • Wet and Wavy by Milky Way

    ~L.37~

  • maximus is a jerk... wear you're hair however the hell you want it

  • I find this video strange and on the grounds of denial if its variety you require than theres many different afro style you could do. the fact you have to put in a straight weave tells me your subliminaly effected by the white women you see whether you realise it or not after all you don't see white women wearing afros that must tell you something

  • Well Sir, or whomever you are, we are all entitled to have an opinion. Sure, white women don't wear afros because 99% of them can't. Their hair texture is not made to wear an afro. White women wear weaves, extension, and etc. This comment tells me that "on the grounds of denial," you are subliminaly effected" by how BLACK women wear their hair. I have the option to wear my hair however I like. I am black and I am proud hunny, and not and ashamed of my crown and glory, so take that to the bank...

  • u told him lol

  • I loved your reply. White women get perms and wear their hair curly too. I am black and proud too but I like to have options and wear all kinds of styles, white women are the farthest thing from my mind when I get my hair done. I wonder why so many men are so obsessed with black woman's hair. He's actually speaking about himself, he's the one subliminally effected by white women. It's our head on top of our head and in some cases hair we went out and bought, what it gotta do with him?

  • I know, he has commented on my videos several times. I don't know what's wrong with him.

    ~L.37~

  • hi, i think you make a good point on that im not black but im always hearing how alot of black girls get so much crap cuz they relax their hair or wear extensions and then when they try to explain someone says that their ashamed to be black and they want to be white when white peopl do crap to their heads allllllllll the time like dyeing it flat ironing it they even wear extentions to,its just hair and u can whear it however :)

  • Hi,

I have a question please. When you start the weave it looks like you sew it in a circle for the first couple of rows. How do you sew the portion that is going left to right? Thanks.

  • how long does a sew in take usually??

  • bout 2 hours or so. It depends on the skills and speed of the person doing your hair.

    ~L.37~

  • thanx is that wit the braidin or just tha sewin part??

  • Both. The longest it has took when someone did mine was about 3 hours. If the person is a beginner it could take much longer.

    ~L.37~

  • this video is great thank you guys so much for teaching me..new techniques ans other things!

  • Ur Welcome

    ~L.37~

  • hi my name is cieara and im getting my hair done in sewin for the first time and i want it with my real hair in the front and leave my hair on the sides and in the back so i can put it in up dos lyk ponytails and so on. but i have a question. the way u braided dha girls hair in this video do u do that always with braiding? and do u cut the hair or you keep going in the way of the circle? AND i want the hair 2 look full and aftter leavin sum hair out the braiding doesnt look lyk dat much?

  • hallo,

thats great what your doing for guys like me who have no idea! i would like to ask you something though..here in germany we dont have such schools and no hair magazines too for black people! and that makes me mad! where do i get those hair magazines for black woman!! could you pls send me some if you can???

  • you can go online and go to hype hair that is a pretty poplar magaszine

  • u can suscribe to hype hair magazine. look on the website. and u can also look in regular magazines like essence or vibe 4 hair tips.

  • I would like to ask the same as question Moms2da2nd power. Please respond. Love the video.

  • This is a great video. I do my own hair and I want to know how to sew in weave with a part in the middle. Could you post a video like that

  • Hi,

I loved your video-"how to braid" for the sew in.I'd never seen it braided that way before-and the gospel music provided a pleasant listening experience. My question please: how many rows are you sewing the hair towards the front and how many towards the back? Lastly when do you transition to sewing it in a circle. Thanks, God bless.

  • What is the difference in braiding if you don't want to have your hair out in the front. I am trying to do someone's hair and we can't figure out how to do a full head weave with straight or curly hair (which ever is easiest)so that it looks good but no hair out in front or back, thanks :-)

  • thnx

  • Carry it over. We didn't cut the tracks at all.

    Hope that helped.

  • from the first braid to the second do you cut it then start the second braid or do you carry it over.

  • what kinda hair did you use

  • I used 10 inch wet and wavy by Milky Way

  • can u blow dry that hair and make it straight?

  • I believe so. I know you can flat iron it straight but I don't know about just blow drying by itself.

  • how far away should you thread each stitch on each track your'e doing?... if that makes sense

  • good question...It doesn't really matter. You just need to make sure you're not too far apart (ex. 1 inch wide gaps)...a finger's width apart is good enough...i hope this helps...tempest

  • lol thanks for the lady whose gettin her hair did cuz i am a beginner and i did need info on the needle

    :]]

  • Glad we could help ;-)

  • LOL, ya'll are a mess. I miss ya'll!!
