I was in Upper Canyon a week and a half ago and stayed at a cabin on the river. It was located on S. Whirlaway...I've heard since that it was badly flooded. I'm shocked yet humbled at the magnitude of this storm and of the complete devastation that has taken place. Ruidoso will rebuild and we will be back. GMontess..thank you for your photos and videos. I would also like to add that you couldn't have picked a more moving piano piece to go along with the video. I love the song, I had never heard it before in piano form. Thanks again! Days later it still brings a tear to my eye. Hopefully things will get back to normal very soon.
i was in ruidoso from 24th to 27th of 08 when this happened, feel bad for what happened, it ruined my damn vacation. couldn't fish or do anything, i aint going back to ruidoso, it's boring anyways, just wasted my time and money there. you can keep it new mexico or shove it, i love texas more than anything.
