... There are a lot of Democratic Countries in Africa, but none of them are "rich" compared to Western nations despite larger land area and populations. Democracy has nothing to do with economy. Democracy is a political, not economic theory. Same with Communism, it's a economic theory, not a political theory.
Also, just to let you know, during the great depression, the USSR was RICHER then the United States. Communism and Capitalism both have their advantages and disadvantages

... During the Great Depression more people were immigrating to the USSR then people immigrating to the US. And Stalin didn't have a genocide, it was called "purging". Genocide is when you single out a particular group of people and kill them all. Stalin didn't, he was persecuting his political enemies.

... These deaths have nothing to do with the Depression. I said DURING THE DEPRESSION. The events you gave took place either BEFORE or AFTER the depression, except the one of the purges. And it was a purge, Stalin was purging the GOVERNMENT of political enemies, immigrants as well as regular peasants are almost not effected by the purges. You weren't a target unless you were related to one of Stalin's political enemy in some way.

I said GREAT DEPRESSION, these purges and famines didn't occur during that time except the famine, but the famine was unrelated to the depression and info about it was suppressed, plus, it happened in Ukraine, not the entire USSR. The USSR was barely affected by the depression. And nobody said the USSR was a better place to live, I said more immigrated there then to the US. Actually, more people immigrated from the US then into the US. Interpret it however you want.

Stalin decided who is his enemies although you weren't interrested in politics you could be killed.
For example. operation against Poles in 1937 .Of course I have more examples. In this case, they were killed because they were Poles.

I was talking about the Purges. Those are mass killings Stalin had to take out his political enemies. That operation you speak of has nothing to do with the depression or the purges. It had to do with WWII, and they have a good reason to do it too. (Good as in reasonable and understandable reason, not as in it's the right reason or something).

I don't write abut deporatation during II World War. In 1939 Soviets attack Poland with German. Than they(USSR) occupied half Poland, and they provide mass deportation but I wrote about mass kiling in 1937. It was not war time. It was during Great Purge. Stalin and NKWD decided destroy Polish minority inside USSR. Most of people didn't know about it. Check KUROPATY. ( The place were Poles were executed) It was not during II WW. This murder was before 1939.

It wasn't war time for the soviets, but it had to do with the ucoming war. Stalin had a reason to destroy the Polish minority in the USSR, and it was to prevent them from "unstabilising the USSR" because of Poland's "capitalist ways" and other what-nots. And also, you're missing the point, I'm talking about people immigrating into the USSR as a whole during the depression, not just the Poles. You're focusing only on specific groups of peoples, it's not just the Poles immigrating to USSR.

Never heard of it, I don't watch a lot of TV or Movies. Anyways, films aren't always accurate, especially commercial films. Also, it took place in WWII, and my god, I'm talking about the Depression, not WWII. I'm talking more specifically about the years from 1932-33. I'm talking about the immigration and all that stuff.
And no, it's not a genocide, the Poles weren't killed because they were Poles, they were killed because they were considered an "enemy of the state" and "danger to the Union"

I didn't say "mass immigration", I said more people immigrated to the USSR then to the US. More people immigrated OUT of US then TO the the US. As for where I heard it, it was from a documentary about the Great Depression.
I don't remember about nationality, I think it was specifically talking about Americans immigrating to the USSR, but I can't be sure. Either way, more people immigrated to the USSR then to the US, that can be sure.

Personally speaking, I hate the USSR and I hate the Communists. I may find all of their actions and thinkings reasonable and understandable, but I disagree and dislike them.

The same reason the United States did. Chinese were trying to export communism to sympathetic neighbors and extend their field of influence. Also American influence may have also provoked their involvement from a purely materiel to finally a signifcant troop commitment. It's all about politics in my opinion, two juxtaposing ideologies of capitalism and communism. Frankly I feel communism in practice is a joke, and only the foolish and idealistic believe in a true communist society ever existing

I agree with you entirely. The idea of a truly egalitarian society does sound appealing. But it ignores the basic structure of society and human nature. For example, there must be a hierarchy present for the society to remain organized, and as we know power can corrupt individuals. Its like that quote by Abraham Lincoln "If you want to test a man's character, give him power".Also most individuals endeavor for a better life, some call it greed but its natural to want a better life for ones family
