Followed Limelight from the late 70s until they split up. Brilliant band, your dad was the coolest fucker, double neck guitar and moon boots! Your uncle Glenn was a truly talented guitar player, blew me away every time I saw him play. I got to know the guys very well but haven't seen them in years I miss these guys and their music. I seem to remember a rumour Limelight made a video way back when home video came about. Don't know it this is true, would be amazing to see them playing back then.
Saw them supporting Saxon at Hammersmith Odeon in 1980. My first ever gig, and so, the first live band I saw. My memory is that during the gig, they all froze like statues at one point, and someone dressed as a cleaning lady came on, and dusted them down with a feather duster :-) Also remember someone in what looked like a full length nylon body stocking, wrapped in chains, being dragged across the front of the stage. Is my mind playing tricks?
I remember seeing this band a few times when they were a 3 peice with the Scrimshaw brothers and one played a double neck with bass and guitar - epic stuff.. Saw them at The Cherry Tree in Runcorn, The Lion in Warrington and again at Liverpool Empire supporting Saxon.. I always considered LIMELIGHT were a shit hot band and should have been bigger than they were but Punk came along & shagged it up for everybody, uncluding me! Bummer. Great band & great single.. Still have the 7" in my collection.
excelent band from mansfield nottinghamshire uk, underated and never got the recognition they deserved, saw them many times, and met them , mike, pat and glenn, all great guys.. its time limelight reformed! ..good days, great memories....
@jmshonda Why dont you upload Going Home? That was my favourite from that great album, seen them live supporting, I think it was Saxon back in 1980, GREAT STUFF!
Here is some more info on the band Mike Scrimshaw is now an Accountant Operating in the Mansfield area and Glenn is Brian May in Mercury (queen tribute band)

I don't know about everyone else but I thought they were funny. They were like yeti's and he wore them with really tight trousers.
