@fishycomics - I have a question I'm not sure if you have the answer for. I have two Aipteks AHD's that I bought from eBay. Both work fine, except they only record for 15 seconds before the camera says the memory is full. I have used SD sticks from 512mb to 32G and the Aipteks arent recognizing the SD cards. Have you heard of this?

@ProjectCarTV Yes, I ave had a sdhc card 2 gb be full. what I done was format the sdhc card in another cam, and then reformat back in the A-HD, and all worked, I am not saying it will work for all.Now what it also may sound like the sd cards are not making a connection, and may be just sitting in a slt, with Internal memory ON. is it in the int or ext memory? will Pm with a suggestion if it's a option for you.

If you're recording from the cam then you cannot adjust, but if you're recoring off the av input you have th option to increase/decrese audio.

macro/infinity, the switch moves. you see any difference when you switch. youcan open the cam and you can see if the MICRO switch broke, its super small. the macro has only 18 inchsclose up ifyou film at 4 inchsBLURR 18-36 not 100% sure, butt hat is the distance

the internal speaker is not the top quality so it will only sound fair as it gives you an idea of what you filmed, with audio.

One can always can always modift to a better speaker, but you'll still hear that same sound

the camera feels a bit light. It's a good deal, about $100 and produces some decent videos. There is no stabilizer (that I know of) but it does it's job. I'm upgrading to a better one for more professional applications but price vs. what you get is really spot on. Just don't expect too much from the cam.

Can you upload HD videos to youtube with this camera? At least one person commented on a video and said you can't. This camera records in mov files not what is typical for a HD camera. Does that make a big difference having this HD camera record in mov files? Can you upload the files from this Aiptek camera to youtube?

the A-HD records 720P 1280x720 res, qt.movfileformat, and compression mpeg4. Youtube will accept files(read their help section) and yes will replace to a flv/swf at their resolution of hd if it is 1280, 858 etc.... h26 codecs orhdare in variousformats avi mp3 qt etc...

yes for youtube, I preferre to render so the lower speed viewers have the oppertunity to WATCH

 onafresh battery newer. Redwing expidition thefilm I made, taken me 3 pluis hours, I did not run out offilm and I did not run out of memory..

I went as well to a carshow and filmed snappedetc 2 hours. same. but it is best to grab a spare

Just bought the AHD-Z700 the other day, only cons i have noticed is a "bluish" light coming up in the lower part of the picture, when you use it with flash, fixed it with a piece of black tejp just above the flash, the reflection came from the "shiny" ring around the lens" a tip for all owners of this, otherwise, excellent cam.

I have one and it takes amazing pictures most of the time. I can upload my videos to yotuube and pictures to facebook and my pc with ease. My family can't believe this so called "no name" product can take such good pictures. I'm not a professional photographer so I don't need a $300 camera to do what I need. And hey, to be able to take pictures and video tape for a total of 2 hours and 12 minutes, that's not bad at all. I do wish it had a bigger flash though.

I bought this model for Christmas..

I've used it for 20 hours thus far.

I went to turn it on this morning. NO WORKIE. Never dropped.

I've tried swapping batteries hooking up to my power cord switching memory cards nothing works.

It comes on for 3 seconds and shuts off everytime.

I call customer serivce and hold for 30 minutes never get an answer go to website and it says M-F support only WELL AZZHOLES why not put that on your recording when people call!!

BTW the Zoom SUCKS on this camera!!

This is the camera I use on all of my videos. It is great. I took about 120hrs of video and over 10000 pictures with it so far and it stil works perfectly. I am very impressed, especially for the price (I paid $190 for it back in 07)

im not careless, i take care of them so well that i don't even let my freinds come near it, the first 2 cameras wouldn't turn on when i pressed the button, the 3rd one (the one you are doing a reveiw on) worked great for a while, but then again the button just didn't work.
