For the Blueshark? They are sold nowhere else, unfortunately. If you really want a Blueshark you can make it yourself from the DIY parts offered on MyMyBox's website, or get a Flux. The Flux will probably be cheaper and better at this point, seeing as it's actually manufactured by professionals.
Erm haha, what I meant was do you have any trustable sellers for other DDR pads? I did took notice that you said MyMyBox had stopped the production of BlueShark. =)
Oh, lol. Well, the only other metal DDR pad I can really think of that is of great quality is the Cobalt Flux. I'm not sure what the website is, but a quick Google search should tell you everything you need to know.
Haha. Actually I've searched for DDR metal pads information for days. And from what I read, Flux need to be cleaned frequently. As I don't really understand the instructions given and I really hate to clean things frequently. Yep yep, ok thanks man. Thanks for taking your time off to reply me. =)
I've never played on a Flux, so I couldn't tell ya, although MyMyBox has since discontinued production of the Blueshark, so if you want a top quality metal pad, I'd go for a Flux. Quite a few of my subscribers own them, actually.
I've had a Flux for some time, and I've heard from a lot of blueshark owners. From what I've gathered, it's debatable. I'm told that the BS feels the most like the arcade and that it's very sensitive. The CF isn't built like an arcade, but it does have various advantages over the BS, such as better durability (due simply to how it is built), more versatility, and better consistency. They're both great pads, though. If you want a more detailed answer, message me.
u want to save money? go with cobalt flux with an arcade mod ~ 350 shipped to your door
you want arcade style? BS is no longer for sale, but it is the closest pad to arcade style, but when it comes to durability, i recommend the CF due to the way it is built, almost impossible to break
very, very nice pad. but over $400??? i know it's probably the best home pad, second to an actual arcade pad, but c'mon. might as well hit the arcades. it's a better environment, imo.
but nonetheless, great pad. as long as it makes you happy.

I've been looking for a pad for quite a while. I have 50+ AAA's in the arcade, but on home pads that I've tried, (Cobolt Flux, Ignition, Afterburner etc..) I can't do well at all because they all seem flat. In the arcade, you can actually feel the arrows you're stepping on. It's kinda hard to explain, but if you know what I'm talking about, does this pad have that "feel" to it? The Cobolt Flux is completely flat so I misplace my feet. Thanks in advance.
This pad definitely has that feel to it. The arrows are recessed like at the arcade, and the sensitivity is superb, IMO rivaling ITG2 dedicabs, and I've played on some great dedicabs. If you have the money, I'd say the Blueshark is an excellent choice.
But the flux uses contact sensors. This pad uses actual arcade sensors. Plus the arcade mod really screws up your pad if you don't install it 100% correctly.
It's excellent. I've played on a lot of arcade platforms, and I can safely say this is the best metal pad I've ever played on, and this is coming from a guy who's played on a near-perfect ITG2 cabinet. The arrows do not have lights in them, but not like it matters eh?
the 3" adds more realsim than the 2". i think 2" bluesharks can be a hit or miss. Luketastic1 has a 3" with the bar, and it works still for like 7 months now.
I did make one for $50. You can see it underneath the Ignition. I wonder why it's there.
Believe me, you get what you pay for. The Blueshark is extremely sensitive. I'd even go as far as saying its more responsive than any arcade platform I've played on.
I would definitely recommend the Blueshark over an Afterburner anyday. The AB has gotten a lot of poor reviews, and as far as I've seen, is pretty flimsy, whereas the BS is solid, sturdy, and much more accurate that the AB, or most arcade platforms.
I am not allowed to buy any pad at all for DDR so I am stuck with a single pad, a soft pad that comes with supernova :| I can't even get a $20 pad because I'm not allowed to get a second pad. Same with Guitar Hero controllers.
I've broken two of my BS's panels :(
I hope that the CF is more resisant and durable..

It doesn't have a control box for the PC, but you can get one, I think... I'd have to check MMB's site again.

That's before shipping, and if you get the 3" pad w/bar. The 2" pad w/o bar is 50$ cheaper.
Avalon678 3 years ago
Yeah, I got the 2" pad. It was $430 total after shipping... which is understandable, seeing how massive it is. 80 lbs of metallic deliciousness.

why?
frumpytuin 4 years ago
Parents don't let me.
1) I normally don't play DDR unless a friend comes up (which we have to take turns)or when I am rly in the mood for it.
2)They say it will sit there for years and years.
trevmister8 4 years ago
that sucks. i play it all the time.

Yeah, these pads are pretty popular, although getting one that's good is a hit or a miss. Luckily I got a good one =)
