Many many years ago I heard a song which I never heard again and I think this song is by Yesudas. The first few words were "dil ruba kya hua" Does any one remember this song , or have it and can post it for all to hear.
I wish it was like this , the way Dasettan is singing..But unfortunately, all people want to know is your surname, so that they can find out your caste and religion..so that they can play politics and discrimination..Like he said..keedangal..Even keedangal are at a higher level..than these"manushya keedangal"..
There is only one way to deal with this. Laugh. None of these goons who take themselves too seriously can stand up to laughter and a "poda pulle" attitude. This has to be laughed out of our lives, so that caste means nothing except our surnames and marriage customs. We can preserve our respective cultures without the extra baggage that demeans it. Caste pride is now a crutch for people who find that they are losing their moorings in life, just like a husband beating his smart wife.
I have come across people who are born at so called" higher caste" it is not so surprising that many are so crooked in mind and greedy and unhappy in their lives, whereas the so called " low caste" and poor people are so much richer in soul and thier personal lives..Brahaman means anyone who knows Brahman, and not a caste in itself..Kshatriyan is supposed to fight, that way every Jawan in Indian army should be Kshatriyan...so the basis of caste itself has become meaningless.
