Some people feel that way. I am not one of them. They are more beautiful, interesting, and intelligent than any other marine inhabitant I am aware of. Octopus and cuttlefish are a close second, which people don't often keep either.

Right...but, keep in mind that acceleration and velocity are different...and the velocity of the shrimp's spring is enormously less than a bullet. And, the mass of it's appendage is also enormously less than a bullet...which all equates to enormously less "punch" than a bullet. Still impressive, but no comparison at all with a bullet.
