  • Use the weight vest for your bodyweight strength training but not while you're playing basketball as it can change your mechanics and if you have any inbalances it will just make them worse.

    So do your strength training with the vest then warm up with some skill work and shooting and then play or go full speed in practice.

  • Ankle weights are ok but you would be better of progressing the workout with a weighted vest.

  • Agreed. I have a 30lb weight vest that I wear to warm up before I play ball. I also wear it when I work out...2 out of the 4 times I work out per week. But, when I take it off before I play ball?? that's when you really feel the difference. the idea is to feel LIGHT so you can SPRING off the floor. Good exercises all around.

  • Cool work out...can you do these excersizes with ankle weights on? I got some cool work outs my self check me out
