  • 2.November 1913 was born beloved Great American ACTOR - BURT LANCASTER

  • Burt was a Great Actor....im only 30 but love the old movies ....no special effects...only great Acting and good storylines....thats what we need....

    RIP Burt

  • a real man

  • Another wonderful tribute by Baz, this time honoring my favorite movie actor.

  • His daughter is my english teacher. Jonna lancaster.

  • The most rounded charachter & actor I have ever seen, Burt had it every way and his likes are not to be seen now in popular entertainment, I never grow tired of watching Burts films, He is a true legend just great to watch, thank god we had the opportunity to see him. Great Human being.

  • James Mason was way better than Burt Lancaster was

  • @92af could not disagree more with you, mason was no way near as versatile an actor as Burt nor as dynamic on or off the screen, in my opinion Mason was a lady's man too polished, Burt on the other hand appealed to both Men & Women for different reasons. Burt seemed limitless in his acting ability.

  • His physique doesn't compare with the actors of today.

  • @joeparkson

    But his face can.

  • @joeparkson Yeah, I know. Burt was a real man, not like the boyish looks of men today.

  • Brave, honest and a man full of action.

  • Merci pour ce très bel hommage. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de photo du "Guépard", un de ses plus grands rôles !

  • Frank Gorshin impersonated him top notch !!

  • I am most thankful for your wonderful and nostalgic post on my favorite male actor ... the incomparable Burt Lancaster. Loved it!

  • Sexy as hell...

And one of the truly greatest actors of all time.

  • he has always been my favourite

  • rugged and goodlooking. vera cruz was a good one. and was the scalphunters. but his best was from here to eternity

  • one of the greatest leading men in film ever!

  • Who can forget films like,From here to eternity,The train, Atlantic City,Crimason

Pirate and many others. He is really a great actor we miss.

  • Birdman of Alcatraz, Elmer Gantry

  • Burt was one of my all time favourites !

  • I must say this man had many great roles with a long career! Great photos

  • ... I mean just look at his face!!!

    !!!!

  • I have to say:

He was one of the most beautiful men ever...

    Wow... amazing

  • You made this very very nice and wonderful! Greetíngs from Germany! :o)

  • Um grande ator que nos deixa saudades eternas.Entre os meus filmes preferidos tem uns cinco dele.

  • Sorry to Say but I do prefer the western's this man was involved with right away from thought's of my past and a war movie or two but otherwise,,,Thanks for posting Nelson!!!!

  • I had to watch this, as my dad looked just like him when he was young. Everyone told my dad he could have been Burt's double. Nice video.

  • Well, that's not the worst thing to hear from people... ;-))

  • I simply love the music you used for your videos! What did you use for this one?

  • Thank you. The music here is called 'Veil of Tears' played by David Lanz and Paul Speers.

  • "Mr. Muscles and Teeth". Lancaster had passion, strength and determination and was a artistic perfectionist, a wonderful actor and a joy to watch. Fondly, Hedda

Who can forget that Icon Status of a scene with Lancaster and Deborah Kerr on the sand amidst the crashing waves.

  • Such a goregous music fit for a gorgeous man!!!

  • I loved him in Atlantic City one of his best

  • he's the greatest actor of all time, so many classics....brute force...the killers...sweet smell of success....from here to eternity....the rose tatoo....the train....come back little sheba...the rainmaker....the swimmer....all my sons.....ok corrall.....

  • Talented and the Sexiest actor I have ever laid eyes on- Compare to the actors we have now!!! Now! That's what I call a MAN!

  • The last great Hollywood star. Kirk Douglas called him "a force." From the late 1950's he became bored with stardom and wanted to become a thinking actor. However, I remember "The Crimson Pirate" and "The Flame and the Arrow" with most affection. These were the films that defined his uniqueness.

  • he is one handsome dude!!!!

  • Wonderful video - what a great collection of pics of one of the most beautiful actors and greatest stars ever! =)

  • Love Burt, he is a GREAT ACTOR!!

    He is my Favorite Actor!

Besides Clark Gable & Richard Geir.

  • I love those crazy-ass teeth. :)

  • un temps physique et talent n'etait pas incompatible

  • He didnt try to be a fashion King` i feel his focus was totally on being a good actor): and

he achieved this. He had blonde rugged good looks with a contrasting smile. Burt was what

most laies called a prettyboy` and whats wrong with that.

    Classic Photos of him

    Pierre

  • they say he wore the same suit for years, it does/nt matter though he was what you could say a real man, and the last of the tough guys. thankyou.
