The most rounded charachter & actor I have ever seen, Burt had it every way and his likes are not to be seen now in popular entertainment, I never grow tired of watching Burts films, He is a true legend just great to watch, thank god we had the opportunity to see him. Great Human being.
Burt L, Kirk D and James M were the best male actors before our / my time, When i was a kid i watched the flame and the arrow, Crimson Pirate, From here to Eternity. they are TIMELESS!, i got the Flame and the arrow on Dvd, talk about nostalgia *lol*
Seven days in may is one hell of a movie, pure drama, but damn good.
Rest in peace burt, you changed hollywood forever!
@92af could not disagree more with you, mason was no way near as versatile an actor as Burt nor as dynamic on or off the screen, in my opinion Mason was a lady's man too polished, Burt on the other hand appealed to both Men & Women for different reasons. Burt seemed limitless in his acting ability.
Sorry to Say but I do prefer the western's this man was involved with right away from thought's of my past and a war movie or two but otherwise,,,Thanks for posting Nelson!!!!
"Mr. Muscles and Teeth". Lancaster had passion, strength and determination and was a artistic perfectionist, a wonderful actor and a joy to watch. Fondly, Hedda
Who can forget that Icon Status of a scene with Lancaster and Deborah Kerr on the sand amidst the crashing waves.
he's the greatest actor of all time, so many classics....brute force...the killers...sweet smell of success....from here to eternity....the rose tatoo....the train....come back little sheba...the rainmaker....the swimmer....all my sons.....ok corrall.....
The last great Hollywood star. Kirk Douglas called him "a force." From the late 1950's he became bored with stardom and wanted to become a thinking actor. However, I remember "The Crimson Pirate" and "The Flame and the Arrow" with most affection. These were the films that defined his uniqueness.

I had to watch this, as my dad looked just like him when he was young. Everyone told my dad he could have been Burt's double. Nice video.

He didnt try to be a fashion King` i feel his focus was totally on being a good actor): and
he achieved this. He had blonde rugged good looks with a contrasting smile. Burt was what
most laies called a prettyboy` and whats wrong with that.
Classic Photos of him
