Bryce Dallas Howard was a total knock out in that role. She looked exactly like Gwen Stacy should look.

That is beautiful. I still tear-up reading "Amazing Spider-Man" issues 121 and 122. Was elated when Gwen returned in issue #144. You never see the panels of Pete in total shock and denial at the end of issue #121 online. Pete utters and sobs to Gwen's lifeless body: "You can't be dead...I've saved you" as his pain becomes rage.

The senseless murder of Gwen Stacy was the saddest moment in comic book history and Peter Parker's (Spiderman's) life. Spidey's fans hated Stan Lee and Marvel Comics for taking the one "solid" thing Peter had (the hope to one day consumate his love for Gwen). Ironically Marvel Comics became better after Gwen's death with new and exciting heros and villians. Issue #'s 121 & 122 will reside with me FOREVER~

Gwen Stacy wasn't really portrayed to her full potential in Spider-Man 3 but then again how could she be considering how they made MJ the No.1 goal of Peter's life! It didn't bother me seeing Gwen with Eddie rather than Peter but the filmakers could've at least left in the scenes where Eddie turns to her for confort at her house after getting fired, she admits the two snogged before Eddie is thrown off the yard by her father. Maybe in a director's cut they could do that.

Yeah, I personally didn't like Gwen that much in the movie either, but since Mary Jane is the more publicly recognized Female Protagonist of the cartoon, comics, and games, they gave her the #1 spot.

Yeah, that's what was in the novel. But, I've never liked Eddie Brock. So, seeing Eddie and Gwen together kind of ticked me off! I mean, I read the comics inside and out growing up, so, I know how the story goes originally. Gwen before Mary Jane, Gwen get's Peter and mary Jane together before she dies by the hand of Norman Osborn on the bridge.

Actually Bryce was phenomenal. She said so herself that she wanted to stay true to the comics as to not disappoint the die hard comic fans. (I'm a die hard fan.)

I wasn't disappointed. I mean, I was gritting me teeth hoping that she would make it into the third film! And, she DID!! Bryce was phenomenal!! She nailed the role!

I ain't saying she didn't, except her role was miswritten and misdirected and generally misused in every possible fashion. In fact she was perfect for Gwen but should've been used in a better way, after all the character, in the comics, is Peter Parker's first love not some girl he knows and MJ just happens to be jealous of her.

Yes, I know that. But, if you read the Ultimate Graphic Novels, which is how the stories are basically being told from, Mary Jane comes before Gwen, therefore, mary Jane is jealous of Gwen.

Yes. But, thing is, Eddie Brock never even dated Gwen too begin with. In Ultimate, he came onto her, but, she turned him down. I guess they brought him in just as a romantic outlet for Gwen, since MJ is with Peter.
