Like it or not, marijuana isn't a huge issue. There's more important issues right now than legalzation. Ron Paul's opinions on these other issues are fucked up. States regulating sexuality, he believes in the gold standard, medicare and medicaid are socialism and unconstitutional etc. You may agree with Ron Paul on marijuana, but can you really afford him as president? He's not this amazing knight in shining armor that's going to save America. He's just not.

@Squavipwn To me, legalizing marijuana is only a bonus. I like him mostly for his foreign policy, his opposition to the Patriot Act, and his desire to eliminate funding of parasitic bureaucracies. As for the "knight in shining armor", that's what Obama's voters expected him to be. I think Paul & Huntsman are the only candidates who can be trusted as president.

Medical Marijuana, that means the government get their cut in taxes, from pharmaceutical companies, marijuana have many healing factors; the only side effect is the munchies, this is because it naturally lowers blood sugar...(good for diabetics), lowers high blood pressure, effetely treats glaucoma: our (Corporate Controlled Government) don't want Marijuana legalized because it interferes with their drug profits.

Obama made a bad mistake to turn down medical marijuana and pot legalization in general. Because of this, there is going to be a large right-left coalition of voters voting for Ron Paul in 2012 because he advocates policies that no other Republican nor Obama will take on. Anyone that's opposed to the wars, the War on Drugs, Patriot Act, etc. is going to vote for Ron Paul. Anyone who says Ron Paul is "unelectable" is extremely naive.
