Adobe's main audience is large companies or designers.. the price suits it perfectly.

If you're a student on a course studying design which involves any Adobe products, you usually get a discount from your college or it comes free with the course (in the UK anyway).

Adobe does not intend for their products to be used mainly by an average person so their prices do not target those people.

Adobe doesn't really think bugs are an issue, so I think they just don't care about them! Don't waster your time reporting bugs, get used to them and live with them, unfortunately they have absolutely no competition!

Will Flash CS5 still support ActionScript 2.0? Please keep that, it's the only programming language I kinda understand, AS 3.0 is too much for me, and I don't need it's fancy features just yet.

I think not. All these features CS5 will have (physics, bones, etc etc) can be only ran on AVM+, which is supported by AS3 and not AS2, so if you just want to continue using AS2 - there's no need to upgrade.

well they are turning flash into flashdevelop and flash develop(or flex) will be less and less flash friendly in time i feel as theyll be trying to make the developers work solely in flash

I agree you can do a lot with flash 5 but don't try to oppose the change. You can never do with flash5 more than you cand do with cs4 for example.If you consider the opposite then you aren't using the new technology to it's full potential.

with 4GB of ram it still take a bit of time to load that cs3 thing and i didn't even add all those exchange adds on.Too much grease.

flash 5 is open in a second.and with just a few MB of space.

The recent technology is much more "tools" oriented,not saying it is bad.I need longer lines of scripts of course; but some of the old work that I did back in 2003 with flash 5 I still show it off to clients as it "looks" modern.They all think I been using the latest shit lol!

The one thing I want in Flash cs5 is a better 'brush tool'! drawing with the current brush is unpredictable! The lines break and you have to constantly undo!
