I have ventrilo and skype. Ventrilo's voice quality sucks compared to skype. Skype is much much better than ventrilo in every aspect, it sounds better, its easier to set up and its free.

well, wow's ingame voice chat isnt very good....and the sound quality is also worse than vent....which is why i dont know anyone who's stopped using vent to use the wow voice chat.

Ventrilo is awesome, you can run a small server for your friends but it will have about a second or so delay. I've been using ventrilo for about 3 years.
