Just goes to show you can never categorize The Cure. Just when you think you know their style they go ahead and nail you with something like Primary and then 6 minutes later they hit you with Underneath the Stars followed up by Bare and then One Hundred Years followed by Sinking.

Outstanding version, love this song !!!, I think this band never received the credit they deserve for the contribution in the 80s with the unlike sound and probably because they always preferred to be in the underground line and not be commercial as many other bands choice.

Great extended version of my 2nd favourite Cure song. Hope they do one more tour and come to NZ before they hang up their guitars. First and only time I saw them was at the old Wellington Town Hall in 1979. Only one regret, I can't remember the concert, but I'm sure they were great. I tell a lie. I can recall the creepy opening riffs to another Cure favourite. At Night.

Back in the day I had this extended version so it's great to hear it again...but let's be honest , cheeky old Robert Smith managed to get away with simply doing a speeded up version of Charlotte Sometimes. I promise you - in the old days when you could play your 45rpm single at 33rpm you could prove that the two are exactly the same. Still love them both tho'

Great version of a great song. How many other tracks can you think of which has no guitars on, but 2 lead basses? Saw them half a dozen times or so in the early 80s whilst at university - used to travel miles in extreme discomfort all across the north of England.

I have always absolutely loved this song but to get to hear the extended version just rocks!! Wow!! Our radio station never played this version. Figures! The Cure has been my all time favorite band for 26 years and will continue on forever!! This song always makes me just want to get up and dance, no matter what i am doing!! This song just grabs you!! @nuwavething... It's amazing how KROQ a little radio station in Pasadena turned into the "world famous KROQ" now. Even Dr. Drew who hosted loveline (not sure if he still does because I live in Idaho now and have been for sometime. No KROQ here :( ). He's become a huge success now. I remember calling loveline when i was about 14-15 years old and talking to Dr. Drew. I am 41 now, lol. So silly.
