  • Always love your stuff! Have a question- if it can be done, maybe you will know-I tweak my An1x throw my Jp 8080 using audio out - so maxtrix is far easier than the AN1x- question- If I like a sound can it be saved- and where" or would I just have to remember the pre-set and write done what I did? thanks in advance - LOVE THE FUNK SOLO- also are the Tribute presets Diffferent than Stage or Stage 2..

  • Hey I'm totally sold on the Moog LP, but I've heard the keys themselves are a little shoddy? have you had this issue? anyone else lemme know too lol

  • @foofeo I have not had a problem with the keys. I have not heard of anyone breaking them or having problems either. But they're not exactly wonderful to play - not horrible, just mediocre.

  • Bloody hell, just came across this baby today. If I could make my baby sing like yours, I'd be a really happy feller!

  • are u damien hirst ?

  • @MrFaceHead No.

  • awesome chops / nice to see+hear. cheers

  • I've listened to this many times, but it is, without doubt, one of the best improvisations on this site, or any that I've come across - quite superb. Sir, you seriously rock...

  • Older musicians are like muscle cars. You don't see them around much but when they show up, they bring the POWER.

  • @cowboy742 Thanks for that great comment - from a 40 something music graduate

  • holy... um... shit

  • are all these viewers THAT stupid? it hasn't got ANY feel at all!

  • selam

    bravo sayin abi

  • Us old guys started building our chops back in the 70s. Long before MIDI and sequencing. When you really knew scales and a groovebox was a linn drum machine at best. But there is still talent on you tube if you look for it. New generation, new style, new blood. It's what keeps us old guys still rockin. peace ;)

  • You are wrong guys, this guy playing here... he heard and enjoy the real analog music like Kraftwerk, Telex, Gino Soccio, Alan Parsons, etc creators of all this kind of music, start around 1978 so I believe you can meet too many "old guys" playing terrific sounds and more olders too.

  • AWESOME!

  • absolutely killer :) out of curiosity, have you ever delved into software synthesizers at all? or always stuck with hardware?

  • I have many soft synths, as well as video demos of them here on YouTube.

  • I was 49 when I made this video. Not especially old, I don't think, but perhaps older than you. :)

  • I wish you were my dad

because you have a LP, and a TI (and god knows what else)

    :/

  • LOL, thanks, but I already have a couple of kids. :)

  • HAPPYDOORS. Shut the fuck up !

I would like be aside this guy. He Rocks !

What a Fantastic Player I've ever seen

  • You'll be ' old n shit' oneday as well...if you get there!!and...will you be able to rock out like the k/bd wiz then???

  • amazin an old guy can throw shit like this in yo face huh??

  • WORD UP!

  • Keybdwizrd and Hamsterdunce = Best on youtube!!

  • fuck yes Hamster Dunce for the win.

  • wow you are freaking awsome :)

    really skilled ;)

    keep it up

  • so he's using the korg as a controller?

  • The Korg Micro X is playing the backing tracks... bass and drums.

  • all the rhythm and backing tracks were made on the Korg Micro X?

  • yes

  • awesome!!!

  • you are incredible awesome dude, watched much videos of you...Fantastic!!!

  • ever heard of jazz fusion.... dumbass

  • What is that supposed to mean, dickweed?

  • It sounded like you are slamming him by saying he needs to "build tension" first before releasing it when this guy is obviously skilled at what he does which is KICKING ASS.

  • He starts up with shreddin' that's not the way to make music.

  • ohh, sorry oh great one, center of the universe. I would assume one so knowledgeable, and such an estute critic as yourself would know of the term or would have heard proir to this a good, brief, partial slice, example of JAZZ FUSION such as this. .. wanker.

  • hammond is a tard knows nothing about good music

  • LOL we must have missed that memo ;)

  • yesssssssssss rock good

  • You are the only one on YouTube with the skill and grace to be playing a Moog. I feel sorry for all the suckers who ponied up $1300 to play something so awesome when they should've spent that money on piano lessons instead.

  • Wow, thanks for that!

  • Wow, you're not being condescending at all! You're most definitely not a twat!

  • pure talent keep up the good work

  • thanks!

  • Master!! Fantastic!! best regards...

  • woweeza :D

  • Gota love that Moog sound!

  • keybdwizrd makes tangerine dream look sad!

  • dude, what scales are you using there? really nice. i'm just getting started on keyboards and can't really do anything other than random d blues scale with bits of axel f and arabic scales thrown in and pretty much random. i don't have a mind for melody, hopefully i can acquire one.

  • Hi Nietchez,

Put either a 6th or 7th note in the scale/arpegio and most of the scales that this guy plays will come up. However the speed takes the practice!!

    Good luck.

  • holly shit, that was great!

  • madniss! great playin and a great sound comin from the moog!

  • Synth Shredding. Well impressed!

  • That was some amazing play man!! 5 stars all the way!!

  • i wish i could play like that!!! Awesome!!

  • Well, Mr. Walthius... You definitely have done it again. :) Nice work. I've been listening to your work for about 10 yrs now, and I'm still impressed. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks!

  • You sound like alan holdsworth on this synth. Which IS a compliment even though I don't like alan holdsworth. cheers.

  • dude you have to be one of the best musicians i have seen on you tube :p, if you could send me some info on your setup and how you learnt to play like that i would luv to hear it, i am a guitarist that can pretty much play anything i pick up but i luv guitar and anything on piano\keyboard\string be it digital or old skool and would luv to hear from you. :)

    PS

YOU ROCK LIKE OLD SKOOL ROCK :P

  • Thanks - see my website for setup info, as for learning, well if you do anything for long enough you may make some progress along the way... :)

  • beautiful.

  • New Age Funk Lives

  • you are a great player man!!!

  • ...and again....

    sound is great.

    i love it...(playing myself 20years synthies)

    have phun...

  • eheheh

  • niiiicce.

  • Looks like it's in A. I don't play very well with scales containing too many white keys. My favorite key to wank out supremely in is F. For some reason I just find it easier flying up and down when there's black keys... they're like hand- and foot-holds in rock climbing or something. Jamming out in A minor and C major is like scaling a sheet of ice. :o)

  • Yeah - A minor.

  • great playing, A1 .

there are a lot of people out there who unlike you can play .

when they ask for help about how to play and what keys / chord and notes to play .

    no one likes to help

  • It's still the player - not only the instrument! This is really great playing! Same question as extrasolar10 - what scales do you play? Thanks.

  • There's not a simple answer to this, but a good place to start is learning about the "blues scale" - see Wikipedia. Thx.

  • Hi - I'm trying to learn how to play in this style. Could you tell me what the primary scales you are using at the begining of the piece here - the ones where you are moving rapidly down the board?? I would appreciate knowing what scales are used and how you learn how to play like this. Thanks very much.

  • That's beyond the scope of these comments... I replied to your pm. Thanks.

  • Sweet

  • i love that sound

  • wow

    i m italian

    i love your sound

    wow

    fantastic

  • Thanks. I just returned from a week in Italy (Roma, Venezia) and had a wonderful time!

  • Try playing "Strange Days" by The Doors.

  • Thanks, but I don't really play other people's music very well.

  • Moog...damn...I just wish I had enough money to buy that little creature.

  • sexcellent playboy music

  • Cool

  • It's very nice to see a real keyboardist once in a while, somebody who actually knows how to play. Keep up the good work, I enjoy it very much!

    /le singe monotone

  • Thank you!

  • Would you happen to know if it is legal to marry a keyboard?

  • Only in Belgium, from what I understand.

  • who are you because you are my friend's idol

  • Just a guy with some keyboards and some spare time. :)

  • Very good stuff, loved it!

  • that is awsome

  • i love how you look at the camera and do a lil chair dancing at the beginning. classy and this music is strait up gangster. keep it coming man you got mad skills as they say ;)

  • I wish I had access to all of this awesome analog equipment.

  • some tommy mars skill

  • reminds me of ninja turtle music

  • lol..

  • sounds great...keep posting

  • never bothered to find out for myself... can you program any mod you want onto the little phatty's mod wheel?

  • You can route the LFO to the filter, pitch, wave, or osc 2.

  • nothing beats a moog nasty

  • Hey, where did you get the little stand for the MicroX? I'm thinking of getting a MicroX but I need a small stand for it too. BTW, cool performance, man!

  • Thanks, it's made by On-Stage Stands, and I bought it at Guitar Center in the US.

  • NICE! DUDE! extremely nice!

  • Wooah, that is awesome!! :)

I want Moog, cool video!! Keep up with good work! :D

  • Hello, Keybdwizrd!

    Very nice your videos!!!

    =)

    Beto

  • now thats what I call keyboarding! The dancing on the otherhand, its um ..interesting lol you definitely know how to entertain an audience!

  • Hey - look - these vids are free, right? :-) Glad you were entertained!

  • that Moog sounds awesome! great stuff!

  • hi. really great keybordist. what's the name of the upper keybord? Thanks

  • Thanks, everyone!

  • nice porno music!!!

  • very smooth natural style... you're very talented and mesmerizing to watch.

  • AWESOME

  • lol

  • Hi I'm first timer at this synth stuff, I have Yamaha MM6 okay bit weak I need power more power. You now have me truly hooked, have taken note of your keyboards, are you rich? This all started with an urge, then an itch now I'm totally infected Arrrrrr> What would you do with the old tune of the 60's Tornadoes ( Telstar ) I wonder. Man you rock with the best more' more' more.

    Pete

    Derby UK

  • LOL, thanks, but I am not rich. I guess I just choose to spend my money on keyboards as opposed to other things. :)

  • pretty neat playing there!

its hard to do these bends hammer style with every keyboard you use...some mod and pitch wheels and even the roland stick feel great, but others just dont cut the mustard. I have a voyager rme, and for some reason, every demo ive heard of the little phatty makes it sound richer than the voyager. It must be something to do with that overdrive emulator theyve built into the circuit, which the voyager lacks.

  • pure cheeeeeze!

  • sounds nice

  • nice keyboard and synth, I say no more!

  • sexcellent.

  • Great, but what do you think of the MICROKORG? is it usefull, and good sounds.. the MOOG is sounding great..

  • Cool bass groove.

  • Small things come in good packages. Nische!
