If you really want to hear this pedal kick ass, pair it with a MXR M-80 DI. Just run your bass into the Big Muff, then run the Big Muff into the M-80, then run to your amp(s). On the M-80, just engage the EFFECT button as well as the COLOR button and you're set.

@Underatedkid Alright, dumb question first: did you plug it in to the wall?  Some pedals don't come with the AC adaptor you need. Amazon doesn't show this one including a power cord.

I think it's a good idea, I'm bass and guitar player, and the Bass Muff got the usual scheme of a russian big muff ("normal" mode) but switched to bass boost it sounds pretty for abss (maybe cause it's meant for it), so good deal, like it was made for the two instruments ^^
