The story is that Snehal Bhatkar, the music director, wanted Lataji to sing this song. He waited couple of months for Lataji's dates. But she was too busy with her big backload of songs. Finally producer said, enough waiting,get it sung from someone else. Shehal chose Mubarak Begum. She did justice to this song. I am personally glad she sang this song. Now I can't imagine anybody else singing this song.
