This was a point I have been pursuaded by..too many dragon stories, art, mosaics in so many different cultures and flood "myths" always have strands of truth in them....too many cultures who had no ability in antiquity to interact with each other still come up with all of them to be so similar...I am still convinced by cosmology that the universe is very old..only the recent finds of creatures were recent history, dragons included.

Why do religious people spend so much time trying to figure out how to 'DEBUNK' science? If religious people feel that dinosaurs somehow threatens their religious belief system, why not just DENY the existence of dinosaurs all together? So what if there are fossils! Has anyone ever seen a dinosaur? Just deny them! In order to be religious, you essentially have to deny all of science and reality itself, so why go thru all this effort with dinosaurs?? Just keep denying!

@Bline0ne Carbon dating does not actually test the shroud it test the decay of radioactivity, thus the amount of radioactivecarbon give thems the number of years, this shroud has been proven to have been exposed to a high does of radiation thus the extra flora carbons, it would be impossible for some one to fake it is a 3D image burnt into a 2 D cloth. They have a matching face cloth with the same blood stains in the same spots, and the DNA test to be that of the Shroud. Impossible to reproduce

@Bline0ne Your comment shows how you blindly believe whatever scientists tell you by faith. The Shroud was being exhibited in a church a long time ago when the place caught fire. Although the whole church was burned to the ground, a priest saved the Shroud which was slightly damaged. Fire ADDS carbon to objects. The more carbon-14, the younger the object. Scientists tested a burned area of the Shroud thus giving them an erroneous date. The same scientists years later admitted to this.

@Bline0ne Some of the scientists involved in the 1st experiment (now much older) tried again to re-test the Shroud for their love for science. A 2nd documentary shows their latest work but got little publicity (no surprise to me). In it, they asked Vatican to lend the Shroud again but they said no. So, scientists used reverse engineering using a computer program that theoretically subtracts the amount of carbon added to the Shroud by the fire & the new results dated the Shroud to Jesus' times.

The widespread dragon myths are always fascinating, but what a leap of argument to say that it's recent memory of dinosaurs.

1. People all over the globe were discovering dinosaur fossils all throughout history and these lead to dragon myths

2. Shamanistic use of hallucinatory drugs also creates dragon myths but the dragons are feathered serpents; snakes are often of high mythological importance anyway.

3. Perhaps it lies within the neural networking of a hunter species to fear being hunted

@lovelikefire93 third the facts are true about Christians causing more deaths then anyone else, I can't provide a URL, look up Christian atrocities, victims of christianity, It list 2000 years of events from the Pagan days all the way to rawanda massacres of the 1990s, of events where, People were killed in the name of the christian faith. I know that most Christians today don't think in this mannor, but it shows what following the bible to its literal word can do.

@lovelikefire93 I call it blind faith, because I have studied christian teaching, I have even sat in some masses at local churches, I learned that, alot believe, that the bible is the word of GOD, and its not to be questioned. This was common, at the catholic, the Lutheran, the baptist, and the Methodist churches I went to. in these churches they seem think, if you question god, you might go to Hell. only the priest can explain the Lord's word. Many times the preists when I asked them.

@lovelikefire93 no I visited some churches, since there's like 150 of them in my area, I couldn't see every christian in the world, there's about 2 billion. I have studied many religions, the last religion I believed in was shintoism, I believed in it, because I wanted too, I wanted to believe that Japan was made by the Gods Izanami and Izanagi dipping their blade into the ocean, with four drops falling back, becoming the islands of Japan, but I couldn't believe that anymore.
