Not to be ignorant, but out of curiosity - do you have two x chromosomes or do you have a y chromosome in your 23 chromosome pair? basically - were you born with a woman's body or man's?

I'm not sure if I'm clear on your question. If it's about what transsexuality IS, then my answer would be that transsexuality is a dichotomy of having a gender identity that doesn't fit your "biological sex" and hence the need for transition (change the body to be more feminine, change of name etc) cause we're living in a society that judges you very much on outward physical apperance. . .
keep in mind that guys and girls BOTH have estrogen and testosterone (it's just that guys have a lot of testosterone and only a little estrogen, and girls a lot of estrogen and only a little testosterone); a Transsexual then is someone who has too-much-of-one and not-enough of the other and may take medication to help correct that, may seek sex-reassignment surgery, etc. Hope that answers any questions you have, if not ask away. .
