  • "our lab in hawaii" ... you mean your kitchen?

  • MAN! I want that for my door. I'm sick of having to use a key... This is great though. Great review!

  • Fr.Robert, thanks. This was great! I'm buying one tomorrow. Also, thank for turning me on to Pinnacle really nice stuff. If I have done anything right this year it was subscribing to "gadgettts"...great show.

  • It's not that I needed one, but I want one! I'm really impressed how your reviews always catch the ubergeek in me ;-)

  • I LUV my gadgets !!!

  • I am so Getting this to protect My gadgets my concern is that my door I would put it on is weak it can probably get knocked down with little force can you recommend any doors for like a bedroom not the out side of a hose or anything Like that well keep up the great gadgets reviews I'll ttyl

    Peace!

  • See, what happens if the sensor where the RFID is recognized is shot at/punctured/bludgeoned, or what if the keys themselves are damaged. How then would one get into the door?

Other than that, great review! These seem really really cool!

  • Well the sensor is actually embedded into the device, the ring is just to give the user an idea of where they should put the key. Also, the RFID/Keypad gives you two ways to get in.

Any force that is enough to destroy BOTH authentication devices (and that's a LOT of force) would probably have destroyed the door first!

  • 300$ seems pretty expensive :(

  • I thought so too... then some jerk picked the lock to my office in San Jose and stole a $1500 laptop.

    :(

With security, I've found that you can pay now, or you can pay later. Peace, Fr. Robert

  • I never though of it that way, wow! Now I kinda want one with my home theater and computers and what not in my house worth well over 300$!

  • yea robert just asking im in canada and well. ive seen a store just like gadgettts under making.. well i asumume that is this a shop ur opening

    ?

  • Hey koalabear2,

First I want to extend a warm uberGeek welcome to our friends in the Great White North! Thanks for dropping by.

As for the store, it's not mine. I don't sell any of the gadgets that we review, nor do I take any sort of payout for reviewing them. It's all just because we really like gadgets! Peace, Fr. Robert

  • WHAT THE HECK! WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?!

  • About 5 months before I left SJ. Big bummer. It wasn't my laptop, but it was in the main part of the office. (I wish it was in my office proper... then I would have had video of the jerk!)

  • Oh wow.

Also, did you get my emails? Or are you just busies? :)

  • Im going to install this in my bathroom.

  • HAHAHA!! I love you, that was the funniest shit I have heard in my life!

  • wow, that is a really cool lock, i especially like the blue lights, we do have a steel door and i think we should buy this because every day i come home i have to get the spare key and unlock it and its too much hassel, im ready to get in and not have to worry about that so we might get this

  • it says on your site, the batteries would only last for about a year. how would you change the batteries?

  • There is an easily accessible battery compartment on the inside of the lock. It's the same compartment that has the buttons to set the passcode and RFID tags. One screw and it's open. Peace, Fr. Robert

  • I like it but the price maby if i need it

  • that was cool i want one
