According to a survey carried out by Gilani Research Foundation, 31 per cent people want the government take the required steps at once. However, 48 per cent think that the needed steps should be taken one by one."
@Wrath0fKhan We have'nt last faith in the current system, its pretty obvious its not a system to begin with, just rich bureaucrats and landlords imposing their hegemony using a massive amount of wealth
What do you mean by saying that? Is it your last faith (as in last resort) or is it your lost faith (as in no faith)?
"not a system to begin with"
Thats not true of course. Pakistan has a powerful army. Nuclear weapons. There are many highly educated Pakis and so on. That all "tells" us that there is a system. But whats much worse, the system "you" are proposing is not better at all. On the contrary, its much worse (i.e. just read the hadith).
and you're right about the educated class and everything, but the fact is that the civil government, especially the PPP are more corrupt than ever, the only political party supported by educated and young people is PTI, who, although win 95% of the votes on facebook, don't appeal the the uneducated majority
the reason is that (sadly) PTI is the most liberal party
the army is due to the combined efforts of the army cheif and their collaboration with NESCOM
@Wrath0fKhan : I'm the liberal type, the new government doesn't have to be super Islamic, just reasonable enough to run the country properly instead of winning support by promising violence but at the same time, respect the religious rights of ALL the religions in Pakistan
@AliImam12345 Unfortunately, the violent types that pervade Pakistan, especially the rural areas, are appeased to avoid conflict, leading to the intolerant leadership you have at the moment.:~(
People who think like you in Pakistans government seem to have been sidelined rather quickly since Zia's reign
@mrsanity : That's true, and one of the major reasons people are welcoming PTI
Pakistan needs a party that makes major domestic reforms, which so far, almost none have promised, zia tried it, but it ended taking us back a few decades from modernity and reason
@AliImam12345 Zia injected far too much religion into Paakistan's government. Religion is (mostly) harmless enough when it has no political power - see the UK etc- but even in a secular government such as Turkey or USA which has religious fundamentalists in power, there is always a danger of religion taking over, and religion + politics = a power-crazed intolerant monster that usually ends up bad for democracy and anyone not following their particular brand of fairy tale.

Timothy McVeigh never seems to become representative of Christians because Timothy McVeigh was not a Christian. What he did was the opposite of what Jesus says, if you ever bother reading the Gospels. Just because he's white and American doesn't make him a Christian any more than being Arab makes one a Muslim. Whatver McVeigh is, his reputation is overshadowed by the countless Christians that do good. And that's why he's not seen as representative of Christians.
Fundamentalism, following doctrine without questioning it, is a problem no matter if you worry buddist or not. If someone dont question he will sooner or later end up doing something horrible. It might not involve you but it is still a problem. Anyhow people have free will so they are to blame not religion or doctrine.
It cannot be a strawman since it is not a reaction to any opponents position. There is no opponent. He just described a problem.
In my book, there is no such thing as Islamophobia. The threat of radical Islam is real and people all over the world live it every fuckin day. That is an undisputable fact. For me, ''moderate'' Muslims are potential radicals, just waiting for a reason to turn against kuffers like me. I am a goddamn major league infidel and I am not blinded by those naive liberal morons. If Islam wasn't a threat, we would not be hearing about that retarded cult every fuckin day. Islamophobia is a myth.
Obviously they havent figured it out yet despite the fact, that its them, who keeps providing those unlucky news on daily basis. If I havent seen it with my own eyes, I wouldnt believe it.
@caporalchef4 : and what of the wheat farmers in Afghanistan who have their homes raided by American troops every year?? This threat was never a problem before the USA started to interfere in the middle east, plus the fact that the internet and media is the voice of only the educated and mostly western society, it does not take into account the rest of the worlds 5.5 billion population
I can see why many Americans would be afraid, but again,is a peace loving Muslim any more safe?
@12september1683 It seems quite acurate to me. While there are rational reasons to critisize islamic fundametalism that is not what this video is about. Most critics of islam I encounter are best described as islamophobic. It is definitely real problem that need to be adressed.
@OlejzMaku Fundametalism in religion is not the propblem. I do not worry about Buddist fundametalists or Jain fundametalists. No the problem is the fundametalis of Islam.
The strawman aguement was the point that somehow Islmophobs accrussed a Muslim who was killed in the world trade center was invold in the jahadist plot.
A strawman is a false weak agruement portraying misrepresentation of an opponent's position as to refute it, without ever having actually refuted the original arguement.

Jordan: Man cuts sister throat to cleanse family honour (ansamed Nov 16, 2011)
"A man from the southern city of Tafilah killed his sister in public by slitting her throat for being involved in a romantic relation, police sources said on Wednesday ... 67pc want Islamisation of society
[bit(.)ly/lsveA4+]
"As many as 67 per cent people of Pakistan want the government take steps for Islamisation, a clear indication that for whatever reasons they have lost faith in the existing system.

AliImam12345 3 months ago
@A
"We have'nt last faith in the current system"
What do you mean by saying that? Is it your last faith (as in last resort) or is it your lost faith (as in no faith)?
"not a system to begin with"
Thats not true of course. Pakistan has a powerful army. Nuclear weapons. There are many highly educated Pakis and so on. That all "tells" us that there is a system. But whats much worse, the system "you" are proposing is not better at all. On the contrary, its much worse (i.e. just read the hadith).
Wrath0fKhan 3 months ago
@Wrath0fKhan Sorry I meant "lost" faith
and you're right about the educated class and everything, but the fact is that the civil government, especially the PPP are more corrupt than ever, the only political party supported by educated and young people is PTI, who, although win 95% of the votes on facebook, don't appeal the the uneducated majority
the reason is that (sadly) PTI is the most liberal party
the army is due to the combined efforts of the army cheif and their collaboration with NESCOM
AliImam12345 3 months ago
@Wrath0fKhan : I'm the liberal type, the new government doesn't have to be super Islamic, just reasonable enough to run the country properly instead of winning support by promising violence but at the same time, respect the religious rights of ALL the religions in Pakistan
AliImam12345 3 months ago
@AliImam12345 Unfortunately, the violent types that pervade Pakistan, especially the rural areas, are appeased to avoid conflict, leading to the intolerant leadership you have at the moment.:~(
People who think like you in Pakistans government seem to have been sidelined rather quickly since Zia's reign
mrsanity 2 months ago 6
@mrsanity : That's true, and one of the major reasons people are welcoming PTI
Pakistan needs a party that makes major domestic reforms, which so far, almost none have promised, zia tried it, but it ended taking us back a few decades from modernity and reason
AliImam12345 2 months ago

And that's why he's not seen as representative of Christians.
angelsoulblade 10 months ago 5
Fundamentalism, following doctrine without questioning it, is a problem no matter if you worry buddist or not. If someone dont question he will sooner or later end up doing something horrible. It might not involve you but it is still a problem. Anyhow people have free will so they are to blame not religion or doctrine.
It cannot be a strawman since it is not a reaction to any opponents position. There is no opponent. He just described a problem.
OlejzMaku 10 months ago
In my book, there is no such thing as Islamophobia. The threat of radical Islam is real and people all over the world live it every fuckin day. That is an undisputable fact. For me, ''moderate'' Muslims are potential radicals, just waiting for a reason to turn against kuffers like me. I am a goddamn major league infidel and I am not blinded by those naive liberal morons. If Islam wasn't a threat, we would not be hearing about that retarded cult every fuckin day. Islamophobia is a myth.

Biggest strawman arguement

Totally... Biggest ever. One would expect at least some neutrality on CNNs screen. Those eroding standards foreshadow nothing good.
Wrath0fKhan 1 year ago 19
@12september1683 It seems quite acurate to me. While there are rational reasons to critisize islamic fundametalism that is not what this video is about. Most critics of islam I encounter are best described as islamophobic. It is definitely real problem that need to be adressed.
OlejzMaku 10 months ago
@OlejzMaku Fundametalism in religion is not the propblem. I do not worry about Buddist fundametalists or Jain fundametalists. No the problem is the fundametalis of Islam.
The strawman aguement was the point that somehow Islmophobs accrussed a Muslim who was killed in the world trade center was invold in the jahadist plot.
A strawman is a false weak agruement portraying misrepresentation of an opponent's position as to refute it, without ever having actually refuted the original arguement.
