Pardon? Where did we ever say this was a year in the making? We wrote that it was a concept trailer that we hoped to make into a full length film. This was a school project almost 2 years ago.  And it's far more complicated than simple High School fisty-cuffs. So why don't you think before you comment next time, sound good?
