  • @TheKekey123 What baby? No baby died in this song.

  • @bentla17 es one did the lyrics said her car began to spin out of controll and later she said she saw the baby sleeping like a rock

  • @TheKekey123 Well, I don't think the kid died. She looked back and saw the baby was still sleeping and she was praying to God and saying she will change.

  • @bentla17 well i guess that part can be interpurted in different ways

  • Everytime I hear her sing this i alwas tear up...beautiful song & voice!

  • if you really think about this song its soo emotional and just makes you think that god does need to intervene before the road your taking turns into something you cant get off of........ answer this -> is god your spare tire or is he your steerign wheel ?

  • If JESUS is your copilot, than u better swap seats and let JESUS take the wheel. Amen and Halelluja

  • I love this song it is so true love her voice

  • Carrie God bless u so much for this wonderful song, it really inspires me.

  • im pity for what have God felt. many people made him sad. this world is full of SSSIIINNNSSS!!! i hate sins. all God"s betrayers will feel how painful the hell is!!! watch it you savage betrayers.

  • @Zonealert100 But God still loves those betrayers and i think what He wants us, those who love Him, to do is to love and pray for them too. You could easily be like them, but God has given you His grace to love Him. :D so use the gift and pray for those lost children dude. :]

  • i agree 4 wat she said. Jesus is our only saviour. i love him very much. more than my parents and everyone. we must have in faith in him.

  • We all have to do it some times. Leave it in God's hands.

  • OMG

  • Jesus should of had the wheel even before she got in the car. Then it takes these wake up calls to get us on the right track.. This song sents a powerful mesage, yes Jesus take the wheel of my life and lead me within your will that holy I can become, to see your face in Glory someday, when I close my eyes here on earth, and open them to eternity.

She is not only beautiful, better yet she's been blessed with a great voice and is humble too. Great.

  • @toexposedthefakes Carrie hasn't changed on bit since I first saw her on American Idol. As she put it song is a song whether religious tones to it or not. And I like all of her songs, even I am not religious at all. What I like about her is that she is an excellent singer of all genre of music. But she just likes country music the best. And I happen to think she is the best singer out there.

  • @row759 I agree 100% - Carrie is without a doubt THE BEST singer in the busines, country or any genre - period. No other singer in the history of music can go from genre to genre so effortlessly... country, rock, standards... Carrie delivers a historic performance each time. Its funny, if anyone else gave even one of her amazing performances they would be hailed from the rooftops, yet this is just another day for Carrie. Only time will continue to tell how much of a legend she is and will be

  • @morgan101967 What surprises everybody about this performance, this isn't the song she was original going to see, but Carrie told Katie Cook of CMT Insider that everybody requested it and she did it.

  • @morgan101967 Kelly Clarkson can. ^^

  • @morgan101967 I just love this girl and this song and just about everything she sings...There's a difference between someone that learned to sing and someone that was born to sing...Carrie Underwood was BORN to sing songs like this...You can't teach someone to sing like that...Her vocal talent comes from a much deeper place...Carrie Underwood was clearly born to sing and I am glad we all get to listen!

  • @morgan101967 Agreed... Carrie and Christina Aguilera are best singer in the business without a doubt! I've never seen a bad or even 'ok' performance live of Carrie! this woman is amazing...she always gives her all and she has the greatest range and most powerful voice nowadays

    gotta love her ♥

    Greetings from Brazil (y)

  • amazing voice>>

  • this girl is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you just gotta love god and the talant he gives ppl

  • This song should be played on KLove!!!

  • @Laneybugist Ikr???

  • Carrie said about this songs, such as "Jesus Takes The Wheel, "Temporary Home", and "So Small" are straight country songs, with slightly regilious tones and that's all.

  • great song!

  • @toexposedthefakes dude you are not cool...taylor is awesome, carrie is great and britney is very good...

okay! if you don't like them let them BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    -.-

  • Let's all pray for her so that she will always glorify and praise the Lord in all her songs and performances for her voice and talents all came from God . We are made by God and for God . May the Lord help her not to compromise her faith and Christian conviction .

  • @dahlee030176 Oh It would be beyond amazing if she sang a lot more Gospel. This song get's me so emotional every time I hear it, especially the part where she says, "cause I can't do this on my own" we can't do anything on earth without him. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!!!

  • i love you carrie...........

  • @toexposedthefakes

Temporary Home is very Christian... but yes I get what you're saying. I hope she has some more songs like this on her new album that is expected later this year.

  • @toexposedthefakes

Have you heard "Temporary Home"? or "So Small"?

Carrie may drift into Pop songs sometimes but she always returns to these songs which are her best no doubt!

  • awesome song carrie underwood

  • @toexposedthefakes hello! taylor swift? ugly?? she's a great person, what of her is terrible? seriously?

  • @toexposedthefakes i totally agree!!

  • shes like kelly clarkson

  • that 1 person who disliked the song held on to the wheel

  • @toexposedthefakes did you listen to her latest album, try listening to change and temporary home. She`s the same..but if this is the specific sound you like, those 2 songs are similar..(thats all i cant think off right now, i`m pretty sure there`s more on the album...)

  • Queen of beauty

  • What happens when you die? Have you told lies, stolen, used God's name in vain(10 Commandments)? If yes, then you're a liar, thief, and a blasphemer in the sight of God. When you die & be judged by God, you'll be guilty of sin, & go to Hell! But God sent His Son Jesus to shed His blood & die on a cross for your sins, He was buried & rose again from the dead on the third day. If you'll believe the Gospel(Jesus died for your sins, was buried & resurrected)you'll not perish & have eternal life

  • @toexposedthefakes Carrie Underwood is the same girl she has always been. Still a woman in love with Christ, and the same woman that would do anything for any person. Just because she has fun with some songs and doesn't always sing slow ballads doesn't mean she is "letting the world take her soul." If you listened to any of her interviews, you would know this.

  • Does anyone else think she looks like Emily Osment?Apart from that, I love the song. God Bless her.

  • I'm in love with Carrie, I totally love her, Thumbs up for you girl!!!

  • WOW!!!

  • Carrie is Country Music's sweetheart. If you don't get tears in your eyes at the end of this song when she does. Shame on you!!!

  • How is she such an amazing singer, so natural? Wow. Speechless.

  • wish there were no back up singer

  • Peace to you All!

  • I love this song, when I first heard it, I cried my eyes out. lost my beautiful sister in law to a car accident 11 years ago..this is so beautiful...

  • WHY SHE CRY!!

  • Woa, Holy Spirit much! NICE.

  • Nice song and the singer.....

  • Nice song and the singer.....

  • I'm only 12 but every time I hear this song I always this that in that situation during a crash it makes me think that every time you make a mistake you ask God to take the wheel of your life to the right side

And the west side one! Shut ur mouth if u like this song and ur not a CHRISTian then don't comment! Ok to CHRISTians thus song means a lot!

  • @musicgirlly1 you are very strange :P

  • @musicgirlly1 you don't have to be a "CHRISTian" to like this song =P

  • i'm not a christian but i like this song coz she sings and performs it very beatifuly.........carrie is really a great singer....i love her voice...smooth but powerful........

  • i'm not a christian but i like this song and carrie's performance. she's trully a great singer. i love her voice,,,,,smooth but powerful......i hope someday i 'll met her........!!!!!!

  • i'm not a christian but i like this song and carrie's performance. she's trully a great singer. i love her voice,,,,,smooth but powerful......i hope someday i 'll met her........

  • absolutly amazing

  • @thewestsideone Are you just going around an writing that as a comment on all videos with religion? I hope that someday you don't feel like you have to be negative towards other people's spirituality any more. Why don't you just keep your comments to yourself?

  • she looks so pretty!!!

  • Carrie Underwood is what country music is all about.

  • @thewestsideone you say that because you're hurting.

  • @thewestsideone fuck you?

  • @jbdanielle20 why do you have to swear, especially since a lot of kids listen to Carrie. Does it really help make your point more clearer, I would say no.

  • Another artist said that he gave Carrie praise for outstanding performance, considering last minute situation Carrie did. She was planning to it her current single at the time of this show, but switch to this, because of the demand and that artist said he knew that the ovation was coming.

  • I belive it is the holy spirit touching her. If you listen to the text, it is about giving up and letting jesus be lord of our lives.. And that is something that will touch....

  • MAN! this is my favorite performance of her. toward the end , when she raises both arms up and slowly opens her hands , to me she is clearly making the sign of the cross and i believe this is what made her so emotional.

  • She cry's @ the end because she had a long journey from idol - winning, then to fame so fast! This is a girl who never even flew on a jet in her life until she flew to Hollywood to be on Idol to compete!

I think she get tears flowing in this video because it was an awards show? But, she is asking God @ that moment for Jesus to take the wheel in her own life as that was the beginning of her fame & first award show for her to sing! She was not there for an award, she was just a fresh idol winner

  • @grammyfountain , The reason she was crying at end of this performance was simply. She explained on CMT Insider after the performance that this wasn't song she was going to do. But since so many people requested it she decided to sing it. And that's why she so emotional at the end. Also, because she a 10-15 minute standing ovation and next singer allowed her to get that long of standing ovation.

  • love her

  • I don't understand why she starts to cry? I love her loads though!!!

  • I love this video. You can see she put her heart and soul into it. She have it all to the Lord !

  • FINALLY an artist who can actually sing!! She's awesome :)

  • She's AWESOME!!!!

  • love it!!!!! :)

  • i love her <3

  • 2:38 - 2:51 : EPIC !!! ^_^

  • carrie underwoods is alsome. the best song is jesus take the wheel

  • i love this song (^_^)

  • it's a rarity when Carrie uses an earpiece, if you notice when the cameras show Carrie close-up, she has no earpiece. I notice in most of Carrie's live performance she doesn't use an earpiece.

  • it's a rarity when Carrie uses an earpiece, if you notice when the cameras show Carrie close-up, she has no earpiece.

  • they use ear piece sometimes,,bcoz the music is so loud...

  • Love her.

  • love her hair. :)

  • NICE..

    SUPER..!!!!

  • If you want to see that, yes, she does wear a flesh colored ear piece just watch her performance on Idol Gives Back "Praying For Time", you can clearly see the ear piece.

  • I wish Carrie will write and sing more of these type of songs on her next album-whenever it comes out.

  • @JRCHEVY88 She has said in an recent radio interview that she would like to make a non country album with hymms.

  • @clpnyc seriously? Did Carrie get influence by Taylor Swift's and her nonsense songs? I really want Carrie to sing back country! I am getting mad!

  • @JRCHEVY88 She will sing a gospel type of album not a pop album if that's what your thinking.

  • @clpnyc that sounds much better. Thank you for clarifying!

  • i love this song she's brilliant

  • i love what she does wiih her hand at 2.11-2.16

and she is oo beautiful in this song...she looks very indian, don't you think??

  • @stewartmccain , she did that with her hand to get back into rhythm with her band, she doesn't use an earpiece.

  • @row759 yes she does use a flesh colored ear piece, if she did she wouldnt be able to heat a thing. including herself.

  • @jllove1992 , she used wear an earpiece, but somebody awhile back asked her, do you or do you not wear an earpiece and she answer no I don't wear one. I know we are going to argue about it either way. I never sang, have you ever sang, are you absolute sure, maybe she can hear just fine without one.

  • Awesome performance it was like she asking Jesus to take the wheel of her career that night. Which he did she is the greatest of all time. God bless our Carrie!!

  • @75DrummerBoy , this wasn't the song, she was actually going to sing that night, but everybody requested so she did it. She was asked on CMT's Insider show afterwards.

  • Carrie cried because she is there in front of millons of people living her dream, and she owns it all to god. Things like this don't just get handed to u. This is her way of thanking god for all he has done in her life and making her dream come true. I couldn't have said it better myself. 

  • I thank God for giving people like Carrie Underwood this beautiful gift so people like us can marvel at her music and talent.

  • .she looks like emily osment. :) .i love carrie.

  • @glauzee1028 i thought i was the only one who noticed that

  • @xXXxFORGETxXXx the music mybe is loud...

  • @xXXxFORGETxXXx oh yeah? :)

  • i believe that she cried because the song touched her...god is good all the time!

  • why is she crying? r u kidding me? she just nailed it! wow! what a performance. she is living her dream! man! small town girl! living her dream, how could you not cry! very powerfull!

  • @davebo48 , I answer that question before about why she was crying at the end. Simply reason, this was not the song she was planned to sing, but she was asked to sing this song and she did. And at the end, if this video shows it, the audience gave a long-standing ovation for about 10 to 15 minutes, she wasn't expecting that and that's the reason she was crying.

  • best country singer tht i ever heard after tim mcgraw...hehe...unique vocal...and i love tis song so much...especially when i in problem...

  • from when i saw this live til now i still cry like a baby lol

  • There is a message for all of us in the song. This is why Carrie gets choked up near the end. I love it Carrie.

  • i <3 this performance so much

  • She is just as amazing live as she is on the actual CD.

    She's impeccable.

  • Your sensitivity on singing this song is so touching that it makes tears in my eyes...as Yours too.May God bless You and the reality is that Jesus goes everywhere You go and safes Your path where ever You go

  • oh my gosh, LIVE?

    this is great CARRIE UNDERWOOD!!!!

  • She cries at the end of the song....very touching.....

  • nice voice Carrie God is with you!!!

  • To God be the glory. ♥

  • carrie I LOVE YOU. (TE AMO)

  • This is so beautfiul.

  • @countrynfolk I like this song, but hearing it once is enough.

  • @Gr8stuffis That makes absolutely no sense, whatsoever... If you like a song you never listen to it just once...

  • @stewman65 LOL.. Interesting point. However, it doesn't take into account the degree to which you like, or dislike, something..

I guess i don't like this particular version enough to listen to it again

But you are more than welcome to do that. Different strokes for different folks. That is not a bad thing ~

I do listen to it regularly in my car, on a cd that was made of Danny Gokey's studio sessions from last season.

  • one of my favorite carrie performances to date.

  • awesome artist, is the best! God Bless her

  • @marianca27

    ....your right!!! Carrie ROCKS!!!

  • Thank you so much for posting!

  • awesome!!

  • amazing, how powerful her voice is WOOOOW .. i ♥ Carrie

and when she cried so emotional

  • one of my favorite performances of carrie. very powerful and i love that she cried! her dress is beautiful.

  • @xunatu , only reason, she was crying at the end, one, this song wasn't one she planning to do. she was asked to sing this song by everybody there. And second reason she was crying simply she got a very long standing ovation and she didn't except that. She said after it caught her off-guard.

  • @row759 I never heard this story about why Carrie was crying at the end. Were you there or did you hear this in an interview???

  • @stewman65 , yes, she said in an interview backstage after this program, she was scheduled her new single, but sang this song instead, so she explain why. And she wasn't expecting that standing ovation and the length of the ovation she got. Remember this song was on country charts for 10 consective weeks. And everybody keeping requesting it.

  • @row759 Hey, thanks for replying, I love learning new info about Carrie, no matter how old or trivial it may seem!!!

  • @stewman65 , your quite welcome, not many people knew what was going on because it was last-minute change. She said she wasn't expecting that reaction from the audience. And she didn't expect the artist who was going to perform to waiting for the audience to do that long of applause. I forgot who the artist, but according others, he did that on purpose.

  • @stewman65 , I forgot add this, no I wasn't there I wish I couldn't been there thou. Katie Cook of CMT Insider has a special about this awards show and she asked Carrie about it. Carrie told her at the carpet she was scheduled to sing her single at the time, but like I said it was last-minute change and Katie asked her about it. The interview was on CMT for awhile then they remove it.

  • @row759 the reason she cried because of the lyrics at the end part, it is so meaningful for her as a newbie professional singer and she just won american idol that time and it was her first performance in acm.

  • @064548 , were you there, I know I wasn't there and like I said Katie Cook asked why she cried at the end. Carrie said she wasn't planning to sing this. But it was request by everybody and cried because of the audience giving her a standing ovation and she wasn't prepared for that. That was the only reason she was crying.

  • Perfect!

  • AMAZING performance! Love her!

  • wonderful <3
