Many of the early Bishops of the COGIC were products of both the Baptist and Methodist churches. Bishop O. T. Jones, Sr. was greatly influenced by the Methodist churches as far as worship and liturgy. Likewise, many of the Southern bishops of COGIC have the Methodist influence while many of the northern Bishops have a Baptist influence. One thing I have learned is that no COGIC church is the same throughout the world.

that is so true, all Jurisdicitona and churches are different. For example, Up north, the women wear white for official day for the bishop, down south the womens wear black habits, or black.

This almost brings tears to my eyes to see Bishop Patterson in his last Communion Service. This is beautiful!! Praise GOD for the Blood!!

I must say though that the 99th National Holy Communion of the Church of God in Christ seems much different from the 100th National Holy Communion of the Church of God in Christ, when Bishop Isaac King was presiding over it. Or maybe vice versa.
