@csongor1996 The vision this song describes is like a picture of heaven in earth, beyond the belief in a heaven and a hell where you can go to when you die, where people live peacefully beyond religion and are always living for today. Religion the way it is now divides us, maybe that's why Lennon said that a requirement for this vision was to go beyond it. I consider it very spiritual song even if it doesn't look like it at first.

John Lennon wouldn't give this a thumbs up. Imagine is a song against religion, borders and hate. So it's quite ironic that pseudo-monks sing this song. I think John Lennon would call this "a bloody piece of crap". btw, gregorian chant is medieval, monophonic church music, which is sung a capella. This is only produced to make money.

@seahen1337 some churches might let the choir sing this song. If you listen to the lyrics it could be describing the world after the return of the Lord. The song never says "imagine there is no God," and you don't need religion if you *know* the truth.
