@shma280 Y es, the budgerigar (Aborigine for 'good eating') is more properly known as the Australian Grass Parakeet. The only natural colours in the wild are green (perfect camouflage against the grass they feed on). The other colours, like blue, yellow, white, red, purple, etc. are all the result of inbreeding in captivity. I used to breed them.
I think he likes the sound. The reverberation as it hits off the hard surface. My budgerigar liked it when I dropped things for him to watch.
