Я видела их на льду. Никакое ТВ не в состоянии передать фантастического мощного скольжения и удивительной слаженности этой пары. Их часто ругали за недостаток эмоциональности. ИМХО им и не надо было эмоций. Они как два самолета. Не скользят, а просто низко летят надо льдом, словно и не касаясь его коньками.

They were perfect when it came to the technical part of the program, but not in the atristic performance. I loove their programs, they are so complicated and strong, but it wouldn't have been bad to show more emotions during the performance.

I wouldn't take Dick Button too seriously if I were you; he's always critical of non-American skaters. If you watch the NBC commentary, they try to convince the audience that this was nothing but a solid performance. Not spectacular, not brilliant. Just solid. I'm glad that the judges always prove him wrong!

God..I'd give anything to have Dick Button and Peggy Fleming back full time doing the commentating i.e., Nationals, Worlds' Olympics instead of " foot in mouth" Hamilton plus that shrewish sidekick of his,Sandra Bezic. Hamilton blew it again @ 2010 US Nationals when he proclaimed-erroneously [ why am I not surprised ] who the winner was in the Ladies Event. With all the great skaters in the US who've retired,surely two can be found who're better than'shriek&shout'& an imported schoolmarm b**ch!

The trainer of this duet was Oleg Vasilev, instead of Tamara Moskvin. Oleg Vasilev - the Olympic champion of the USSR of 1984 in a pair figure skating. The remarkable person. And pairs trains simply perfectly. So to hold!

Yes of course, you are correct. I forgot to mention Oleg's name as their coach. In a way, Moskvina is their "grandmother coach" since she coached Elena Valova and Oleg Vasilliev to their titles including Olympic Gold in Sarajevo. Valova and Vasilliev were the first pair team to sucessfully do side by side triples and win a World title as well as an Olympic Gold Medal.
