@alifak1 No, it isn't. Keyboard feels very "plastic" and velocity action is not good at all. I would suggest you any other midi controller than this.

@alifak1 Coming from piano, I found the lesser known brand Studiologic to have the best feel with an actual 'hammer action'. I didn't want to sacrifice that whilst wanting something small enough for for studio desk use. I found in their VMK 49 a unique combination of small(ish) size and real (full size keys) piano feel. I tried many 'semi-weighted' keyboards and rejected them (even though I'd love to have the 'Automap' controller function of the Novations).

.....A friendly word of advice, I notice your mixer LED Vu lader is barely registering, just 1 or 2 LEDS, turn the input of your sound card / computer right down and turn your mixer up! that is why we hear alot of noise & slight distortion on you-tube, and don't blame their compression!

@NEILVANCE Thanks Neil. Your answer has lot of sense.

But the problem is located in the camera preamp. I am running an impedance adapter, so I can record line signals thru the camera's mic preamp. It becomes in noise even with no signal at all.

The reason why I don't peak more than two leds is because of the critical input level on my prev input. If I overload the input, camera preamp compress in a ratio you couldn't imagine :)

BTW; youtube compression is sometimes annoying.

@NEILVANCE I have a triton going into a pair of Klipsch PC speakers and whether I use 1 and 2 on the back or the headphone out at the front I get massive distortion if I turn it past 1/2 volume on the synth. Am I looking at an impedance mismatch? I'd figure headphone out is impedance matched for amplified pc speakers.

I use to sequence drums with Reason. But the sounds use to be my own samples, Emu SP12 mainly.
